<p>When trying to login via launchpad I always get this message, I've tried port forwarding, turning off firewall but nothing works. Can somebody please help me with this? It's my first time trying to play.</p><p>Thank you</p>

<p>I'll try and track down your post in connection support as well... However, the fix we've had the most success with for this issue is contained within <a href="http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bin/soe.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=28788" target="_blank">this article</a>. The article itself is titled for DC Universe Online but applies to any game using our LaunchPad.</p><p>If that does not work for you please let us know or get a ticket in <a href="http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bin/soe.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=10404" target="_blank">here</a>!</p>

<p>I think I am having the same issue, only when I start the LaunchPad and hit Update, it starts Updating with a 0.4kb file and after about 1 minute says, "An error occurred trying to access Everquest II. Error Code: 1012" I have not done anything different since last time I logged in and played (perfectly) around 12 hours ago.</p><p>Edit: I suppose I just needed to restart my computer, I feel like a dunce! This has just never happened to me before.</p>

<p>I am seeing unable to write errors coming from your connection.  Do you recall having to run as an administrator for our last patch?  In any case, it should address this.  I suggest launching the Everquest2.exe as an adminstrator with your current installation.  However, beyond that, which should prevent this from occurring again, I do recommend moving away from launching through steam and when time allows making the transition to our latest LaunchPad for Everquest II.</p><p><a href="http://launch.soe.com/eq2" target="_blank">[EQII] LaunchPad</a></p>
