If you have made a video of your own you want to share, feel free to post it in this thread as well. I will link the ones I really like in this post. "The ones I like" meaning well edited videos without hard rock music at loud volume throughout the entire movie showing the HUD and playing at 320 x 240 with 1 frame per second.

Updated with <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiXAYAFDWAs" target="_blank">The Commonlands </a>and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na02m3wfJyM" target="_blank">The Darklight Wood </a>aether racing courses. For some reason, the sound get out of synch on these two videos, but I have no idea why. Happens after YouTube changed design (again).

Made a new movie the last two days. Why on Norrath would it do that kick as it arrived, I have no idea.I still think it should have arrived in an explosion of feathers like how it happens when you land a griff in Antonica.

Next time I do a trailer-ish movie, it will most likely contain music from EQII too to avoid copyright issues. But man, I wish more Greater Faydark/Shard of Love-ish music was in-game. The beauty of emotional music and voices can never be overestimated. Love the sound from the starting area in Timorous Deep too with the male choir. Probably will use one of those three for the next trailer.I wish Sony used music like that instead of the constant battle-theme they use in the trailers. It's a bit tedious and generic... :/

Completely agree with you on the music. Part of what I enjoyed in your video was actually the music. In game, the Greater Faydark theme is one of my all time favorites, while the War of Zek they're playing now on the log-in screen I find to be pretty awful. The Swamp of No Hope theme is one of the better ones also, while Lavastorm is the only zone where I turn my sound off!

It sounds like a medieval tune. But it's only like 30 seconds long and that is a shame cause that song could have been great if it was made into a 3 minute version.In Hold of Rime: The Ascent, the first tune that plays as you enter the ramp room is truly great too, but again, its way too short. I wish we could have more actual songs in EQ2 like in the Faydwer zones, instead of short 30 second melodies. A good background music is super important for a good in-game atmosphere.Either way, I don't know where the Swamp of no Hope is, so I can't relate to it sadly... Where is it located?

Reminds me of the songs in Greater Faydark in some way. The zone with the best music in the game. Good work SoE music team!

I gotta ask, what do you use to capture your videos, and edit them? I've been having some serious issues using Fraps to get decent quality videos that maintain that quality without being several gigabytes for each minute, and was wondering if you could offer some pointers.

I use FRAPS and yes, they become huge. All in all I think I had 70 GB or so of movie material for the last video "Delving into the Depths".But once I am done editing I render them with Sony Vegas 10 Pro into WMV-format at best quality.Then the entire 3 minute movie became around 600 MB.If I activate 60 frames per second instead of 30 (which I use in all my videos) while rendering in Sony Vegas, it becomes around 2.1 GB in size.However, youtube doesn't feature higher framerate than 30 FPS so it makes no reason to use higher framerate if you are planning on youtube upload.That being said, picture quality isn't perfect. The best format is probably quicktime format but I am having problem with it at the moment as either the movies become huge or just look bad.When it works as it should it is a really good format for youtube though.Both MPEG and WMV have a tendency to make things a bit blurry and dark. The blurriness isn't easily spotted if you don't run in fullscreen though.But if you want good quality, yes, go with FRAPS.My hard drive is 2 TB so I have room for lots of footage.And I am planning to buy an external 2 TB hard drive for backup as well, saving some space on my normal one.You can however choose quality in FRAPS in the way of resolution, but that might mess the quality up really bad so I go with application decided quality.Edit: It is possible to choose frame rate record in FRAPS as well, and I go with 30. This saves a lot of space compared to 60.

A comparision video of the two zones.I really need to work on my fonts being more professional than just coloured text and similar. Anyone know any good plugins or features in Sony Vegas 10 that works for this?

I intended to play more but ended up getting angry on myself for failing near the end over and over so I decided to leave it for a while.Lots of people interrupted me in the playing as well so... Either way, gotta try at least. Might do the full one some day in a very distant future if I get my mind at it again.And no, I am not good at the piano. And yes, it sounds false. The piano isn't fine tuned either so...
