It appears to my group that my mage pet is breaking mezes (group and single). It seems that if I switch to my scout pet this is not a problem. Is it true that my mage pet is breaking mez?

You then need to keep the pet more then 10 meters or so from the pack of mobs that are mezzed so that your pet will be out of range of the taunt.Only 1-2 encounters come to mind with this and its KoS content.

Bigron gave you some good tips there. Make sure your pet is set completely passive. It doesn't attack anything unless you specifically tell it to.

One thing I've taught myself to do is tap my "pet attack" key during my own spell casts to make sure my pet stays focused on the target I intend it to. Since this is almost always my target, if I'm casting on a target, I want my pet casting on this target as well. It sounds a little cumbersome to keep tapping that pet attack key, but once you make it a habit, you don't really think about it, and this habit will keep your pet going where you want. Just make sure YOU are going where you want to go.

You know, for a while I thought that was happening to me as well. Then I looked at my pet controls and realized it was me (pet) that was breaking mez. 6 months away from game sure makes a guy rusty.
