Did some testing, the scout pet is fundamentally broken. The scout pet does not use it's abilities as often as it can, in fact it barely uses them at all. Test was a 5 minute fight against a dummy. AA abilities Minion's Mark - Reuse 9.4 seconds - Used 29 - Max 31 Fury of the Elements - Reuse 12.5 seconds - Used 11 - Max 24 Blazing Conjuration - Reuse 29.3 seconds - Used 10 - Max 10 The scout specific abilities Aery Whip - Reuse 9.8 seconds - Used 1 - Max 30 Wisp Blade - Reuse 13 seconds - Used 4 - Max 23 Furystorm - Reuse 39 seconds - Used 0 - Max 7 Galestorm - Reuse 56.3 seconds - Used 3 - Max 5 *Thunderous Attack - Reuse 6.5 seconds - Used 0 - Max 46 *Possessed minion and successfully used Thunderous attack from all sides of dummy, was not a flank/rear attack only. Ran same test with mage pet 3 minute test Minion's Mark - Reuse 8.5 seconds - Used 20 - Max 21 Fury of the Elements - Reuse 11.4 seconds - Used 15 - Max 15 Blazing Conjuration - Reuse 25.6 seconds - Used 7 - Max 7 Mage Only Abilities Shocking Flames - Reuse 5.1 - Used 24 - Max 35 Sphere of Flames - Reuse 8.5 - Used 19 - Max 21 Searing Flames - Reuse 4.6 - Used 21 - Max 39 Igneous Flames - Reuse 1.7 - Used 30 - Max 105 Wave of Flames - Reuse 6.8 - Used 13 - Max 26 Storm of Flames - Reuse 7.5 - Used 6 - Max 24 ------------------------------------------------- Watching the cast bar on the Scout pet, it only starts a combat art right before it does a melee attack, which if you ask any melee dps is the exact worse time to start one. It then does nothing for the 3-4 seconds until its melee attack recycles. Cast speed for my scout pet combat abilities are .3 seconds and recovery is .5 seconds. Should be able to get off 3-4 combat arts between each attack. Possessing minion I was able to spam all the combat arts and the melee attacks still occurred at the expected time, nothing mechanically wrong with the pet. Not using any abilities on main - just letting pet go alone. Scout dps vs single target 8k dps Possessed dps vs single target ~25k(fights are to short for this to be considered all that accurate) Mage pet dps vs single target 27k dps

well said, working (or not) as described. Needs attention..

(as an aside, offensive stance should raise his DA +300% or more, since thanks to shared stats, the pet is getting Zippo DA now..)

One was to fix this would be to:

1. Make all the scout pet's abilities instant cast (atleast in PvE) and,

2. Make the pet spam abilities whenever they refresh.

You wouldn't have to program the pet AI to time its autoattack since the instant casting won't delay it noticeably.

While you are looking at summoner pets, and pets in general, could you fix the fact they get dual benefits from group buffs? No reason for pets to get the group buff, then get the "shared stats" from that same group buff being on the pets owner.

threat111 what do you mean with dualbuffs?

Can you give an example where that would be a problem?

Int is calculated with our damage. Spell haste etc isn't transferred. Only problem I could see is spell double attack. But the only group buff I know has 100% so no problem there.
