I had to put in a petition yesterday for an Issue I'm having on one of my characters. I got a response to try repatching the game, did so, and still had the problem, so I updated the ticket. I thought it would take a while to get to me, so I went afk. When I came back a few minutes later, I was standing in the guild hall, half dead, with this big dude casting SOMETHING on me.

I sat there clueless for a short time before I realized I wasn't in a duel, so looked at my chat window. I discovered something along these lines:

Gm<dude> tells you "This is the GM. Do you have a moment to discuss your issue?"

You replie, "Sorry, I am A.F.K."

I sent a tell and said, " I stepped away for a moment but I'm back now, and I have some time to talk." His reply to that was the best part, in my opinion: "That's okay, I was having fun killing you."

___________________

So, thank you GM's (you know who you are ) for working on my issue, making me laugh, and turning a frustrating time into a fun time. I sincerely thank you. (I don't remember the GM's name, and I wasn't sure if I am allowed to post thier name(s) anyway. So I didn't )

Nice!

One of the funniest things I remember with a GM back in SWG was after player cities where introduced. You could flag someone as an enemy and if they entered the city area you could attack them. Well some guys in my city had an issue that a GM showed up for and the city mayor flaged the GMs name. Then everyone arround killed the GM!

I seriously thought about attacking the GM, but I had already noticed the big GM at the beginning of his name, and thought better of it Of course, when I told the guildies about it, they all had a great laugh...at my expense, no less

And someone had to go there and say "And you thought you were safe in the guild hall"

Who says GMs/DMs don't have a sense of humor?

Lol, if I were a GM that is EXACTLY how I would be. And while talking to you I'd be screwing around with you in other ways..maybe gender change? if possible.

I had always thought that GM meant "game moderator" or something along those lines, but as of yesterday I realized it REALLY means GOD MODE!

I wish I had loggin on at the time so I could see how many times I got dead before I noticed what was going on But it was awesome. And yes, the GMs I've come across (in both EQ1 and EQ2) have ALL had a sense of humor, as well as being friendlier than most of the player base deserves.

<raises his mug of ale>To all the GM's out there dealing with the likes of us, CHEERS!<drains his mug...and several more, just because>
