First, if this is the wrong place for the post, I apologize. It's the best fit I could find, but please move it if it needs to be moved. Second, I tried a search, but either there isn't a topic about my problem, or I couldn't find the proper search terms for what I need. Now, on to the problem.....

I noticed something last night while trying to gather pomegranates in Shard of Love. I mentored to a character on my other account (a level 53), and went into Love to try to gather up some Pomegranates. While in there, the 53 dinged to 54, but the other one was locked at 53. When I attepmted to gather the fruit, I got the message (not verbatim, just close) "This requires a skill of 340. Your skill is 269. " (With the harvesting cloak, it was 294.) When I examine the pomegranates, the message is "This is trivial for you," and the "requires skill of 340" message. I left the zone qith both characters, had a guildie come over, and both of us mentored to the 54. When we went in, my guildie was 54(90), my other account was, of course, 54, but MY char was at 53(90)...in other words, locked to the lower level. (Not to mention that a skill level of 340 would equal an adventure level of 65 or so.) And yes, my harvesting skills, ALL of them, are maxed at 450/450.

The guildie could harvest the fruit with no problem. So I decided to do some expeiments. My guildie checked his skills both mentored and unmentored, and while self mentored and mentored to my other account. At all times it was 450/450. MY character, on the other hand, when mentored to the little toon was 269/269. Maxed, but at a wierd number. When mentored down using the chronomage, the skills were still maxed out, but at a level equivalent to whatever adventure level I mentored to.

Other guildies are able to harvest in the zone when mentored down to 50, so I should be able as well. I thing, maybe, I might be bugged

I had that same problem at some point (tried to harvest something while mentored down, and got the message my skill was insufficient... even though it was maxed at 450/450). My skill showed as some weird number too, that's what jogged my memory just now... I remember wondering, "How would that happen?!"

I just assumed it was a weird (and likely temporary) bug and did something else instead - did not take any notes on the situation, and my aging memory has no other recollections... When it happens again I'll take some notes and post them!

I just checked a different character on the account that is having the problem, but when I mentored this one, the skills stayed the same. My main is bugged in some way. What do I need to do or say to get someone to help with it?

PLEASE???????!?!?!?!?!?!

Forgot to thank you for the answer. I'm working on what the GM said to try first. I'll let you know what happens

We're still working on it. I spoken with a couple of GMs, and the last I heard was that it was being escalated to tech support. And Thank you for your offer of assistance.

(NOTE: I don't consider this game breaking, just more of an annoyance. If this is the worst problem I have in the game, then I consider myself lucky )
