<p>Was this quest meant to kill Eirreen the Broken challenege mode only?</p><p>Kinda out of the ordinary to go from a heroic quest to a epic challenge mode quest, not sure if its part of a bigger questline or not, just pondering.</p>

<p>I agree, it really ought to be either version.  It simply makes no sense to insert a quest for the challenge mode of a raid when no other x4 epic quests (outside the potential to use the ring HQ (PQ steps), technically) even exist.</p>

<p>would be nice if a dev responded to this.  given how screwed up the achievement system is on credit for easy mode kills (getting fixed finally), i would imagine this quest was meant to update on an easy mode kill and it is just bugged.</p>

<p>If this quest is truly meant to update only off the hard mode, it needs a much more substantial reward than just a few gold.  If it is to keep its current meager reward, it should update off easy mode.</p>

<p>I completly agree : 1) the reward is ridiculous if the mob is to be killed in challenge mode 2) this is a quest... where before in EQ2 history did a quest require "HARD MODE" raiding (when available) to be completed? besides there is no "background reason" as to why it should be done in challenge rather than easy mode... both Eireen are the same it is just a difficulty flag not something different in terms of "lore" Most people interested in quests will never get the opportunity to visit (now or later) the Eirreen hard mode... SOE should really adapt it to normal mode. </p>

<p>So, I turned this in and I got 41 gold. Really? Seriously lol...didn't even get a stupid plushy of that ugly dragon to commemorate that annoying encounter.</p>

<p>Yeah i wonder what the Devs had in mind. There was much better possibilities : killing all the heroic bosses till kael 3, killing Eraine in easy mode et .... Something that would not be doable only by hard core raiders.</p><p>May be originally an heroic version of Eraine was planned to be in rime 3, and bever got released. The initial quest was may be to kill her?</p>

I have the quest at completed status but havent bothered turning it in yet. I mean, you dont even get a dumb plushie or plat for it.</p>

<p>wonder why, i felt this is totally pure mistake, my raiding guild wont do hardmode/challenge mode.</p><p>having those quests designed for hardcore mode doesnt make sense, that quest will sit there for ages uncompleted.</p><p>devs, dont make those new quests for hardcore mode zones, ever, never again please!</p><p>hardmode zone were just for status quo for achievements, they werent built for quests. none of older classic quests didnt ask for hardmode, they are very basic and classic which were made for quests, not extreme.</p><p>not many would get to finish that types. poorly planned for wide general players.</p>
