I am sure this question has been asked and answered many times but since I didn't see a sticky for it I am going to ask. How do you go about getting a toon to the test server? Do you get to bring one of your existing characters and if so how do you do it?

It seems like there are a lot of things happening on the test side that would be interesting to participate in.

TIA for any and all help.

There are 2 testing servers:

Test is a regular server, where you play as you would on live with no buffer or anything else. Only bonus is a permanent 50% bonus XP to adventure, tradeskills and AA. That server has a permanent community and is never wiped.

Test_Copy is a temporary server that is sometimes wiped and can switch to PVP at times. There is an adventuring and tradeskill buffer (Lady Luck) in starting areas that'll get you to 90 - 280 AA with some gear. You can also copy to this server by loging in your live toon and typing /testcopy add.

Thanks for the information. Do most people tend to go on both?

I only play on test, I have never bothered with test_copy. I have also have chars on a live server.

There are a lot of lovely peeps on test, and most of them have chars on one or more live servers as well.

Most testing players play on Test. Test_Copy is mostly something to test things up, like testing the brand new instance, testing high level content and so on, nothing permanent.

For my part I play on Test and Live and sometimes I go to Test_copy for specific things. For example I'll test the housing changes on Test_Copy when they'll patch it (no way I'll bork my houses on my chars if I can help it hehe).
