I currently use the multi-game Station Launcher and know that I can run 2 different accounts simultaneously from the same machine and one from one install location. Since the multi game station launcher is officially no longer supported and being phased out if I go ahead and get the EQ2 launchpad will I still be able to do that?

I've read posts here before about people not being able to run multiple instances of EQ2 without having multiple installs and I sure don't want to copy 12gb+ of data into another location to do the same thing I can do now. I'd just go ahead and get it and keep my station launcher installed except when I started to install it in my existing EQ2 folder it says:

"Installing into this directory will convert the installation to use a new launcher. Would you like to proceed with this location."

Since I'm not sure what that means for being able to run multiple accounts from one install I've canceled installing it until I get an answer.

The streaming LaunchPad 3 locks the asset files when you start the game. It does allow you to run multiple instances but it will create a new set of asset files to lock and fill.

If you visit the LaunchPad link, there is also a FULL version of LaunchPad 3 available as opposed to the streaming version. This uses the VPK files and paks folder setup like the Station Launcher did but it is still the new LaunchPad 3. This, however, does mean you would have to download 12+gb up front, again, but would allow you to be up to date and multi-box as the Station Launcher allowed you to.

Why will I need to redownload all the info I already have just for the launcher? Can't I just install the full download launcher into my existing directory? The message I got was not for the streaming launcher. I'd used the link for the full download client.

If you are using the full download, it will simply convert your old Station Launcher installation to the LaunchPad as they use the same file system there will be minimal redownloading needed.

Thanks. Just didn't want to install it with that message until I knew I wasn't going to have to have seperate installs!
