I read that there is a quest called:

Off to the Wakening Lands

Given by Piep 18 hours after I've finished Pup Defender.

Well, ok, this is an odd mechanic for questers who like to do everything possible. I'd already been to Gritstone and done his questline so Piep doesn't even show up on the map for me.

As a quester who's quest count matters, the loss of even one quest is frustrating, esp sicne I'm not sure HOW I should know to go back to a guy...and not advance in a zone I'm actively questing in at the time.

I am sorry to hear of your frustration, Mystfit.

I just investigated this issue. You'll be glad to know that Piep's appearance is not affected by your completion of any of the geonid quests. Piep's appearance (at loc -1220 -536 3285) is tied to Klipklap's quest "Axing the Giants' Plans". Double check and make sure that you've completed this quest. If you have and Piep is still not showing for you, let me know!

Good luck!

~Kaitheel

Guess I shoulda known better then to believe everryyything i read online. OK, I have a mixed bag for ya.

I found Piep, he's not invisible, the loc I was using wasn't near as good as yours, BUT, all he says is thanks for saving the pups and I confirmed I finished the giant's quest on 4/2.

thanks for taking the time to reply. I am a quest nerd, I make no excuses. I never forgive myself for missing out on quests I coulda done where it not for stupidity on my part...

Ah! In that case, double check that you have completed Klipklap's quest "Precariously Placed Package" and Terwoo's quest "Fishing for Danger". Admittedly, "Precariously Placed Package" is a bit odd as it is tied to the daily mission system. So, you may have already completed it in the past, but now that it's been more than 18 hours later it is not in your completed quest journal. Complete it again, and while it remains in your completed journal, return to Piep.

I hope that helps you!

~Kaitheel

I'm dual boxing, and running both toons through the quests at the same time. The day it failed I:- picked up "Greatbasher's Defense" from Blor Greatbasher- killed x of whatever that night's target was- returned to Blor Greatbasher- he sends you to either Swog Bloodytusk or Ergra Bonecracker- I went to Ergra Bonecracker who completed the "Greatbasher's Defense" quest for both toons, but wouldn't give "Providing for Ergra" to the second toon.- Ergra would only tell that character that Blor Greatbasher was looking for him, as if Ergra didn't think I had done "Greatbasher's Defense" that day.- Going back to Blor didn't help. He wouldn't give me "Greatbasher's Defense" again, knowing perfectly well I had already done it that day. So, I lost out on 400 Ry'Gorr faction on that toon that day. It's only happened to me once so far.

I finished Precariously Placed Package again ( I had done it before, but as you note, it doesn't stay in the journal AND I'd already completed Fishing for Danger, but Piep will still not speak with me. He only thanks me for saving the pups.

Good news!

I had seen a few reports about issues with Blor Greatbasher's quest line at the Ry'Gorr Keep, like yours Vinere, but was never able to find a cause or to even reproduce the issue, myself. But with Umber's details of the situation I finally was!

Currently, players are able to bug themselves within Blor Greatbasher's quest line simply by not clicking on the player response in his dialog that advanced his quest "Greatbasher's Defense". Following the change that I just made clicking on the player response is not necessary.

I don't know when this change will hit the live servers, but when it does you should see the following message in the update notes:

The daily quests started by Blor Greatbasher in Ry'Gorr Keep should now be more reliably offered.

Thank you both!

~Kaitheel

I discovered the quest while comparing what I've done with what I need to do via a quest checklist and right now the only thing outstanding is the quests offered by Misha to people who opted not to help the Minatour clan back in [Removed for Content] (so not available to me) and an odd crafting quest that requires me to totally tick off the Othmir to get it.... everything else but this one Piep's quest is done and, I did the mission quest a second time as well, so I feel like I've covered all my bases.

OK, time for a slice of humble pie.

I thought about not mentioning it....keep my dignity and all that, but since you were so kind to look into my issue, I feel I need to admit openly that i messed up.

Yesterday, when you suggested that the quest was tied to the mission quest..the package one..I ran over, did the quest and then ran to Piep to see if he would talk to me nooooowwww. Well, he didn't...cause I never turned in the mission quest....SIGH.

I did and he does and well....can I have a scoop of ice cream on my pie?I am glad you are going to take out the mission as an option as that was a diffucult connection to make. I'd of never made it without you looking into it!

Oh! Hehehehe! Thank you for admitting that, Mystfit. A simple mistake! It was not intentional on your part, and I understand that. I am just glad to know that there isn't some nebulous bug out there with it. And yes, I agree that the change is a good one.

~Kaitheel
