Since when can EQ2X Players join Live Chats?

<p>I think the question should be why can anyone access the server level channels from another server, regardless of EQ2X.  I had understood that folks from other servers could only access custom channels on another server, not the game server channels.  I'd /bug the server/toon names and time so that it could be looked into.</p>

EQ2X players have always had access to the server-wide channels that anyone can join, and frankly I have no issue with this - but why are they in our level channels, which are not usually server-wide? All the other servers have cross-server chat capabilities. antonia_bayle.tigress is what someone would need on oasis to send a tell to a character named tigress on AB. As for channels, antonia_bayle.homeshow can be joined from any non-PvP server. You can even join them from another game that shares the world chat, like EQ. From Firiona Vie, I can join eq2.antonia_bayle.homeshow or send a tell to an EQ2 character. Same, too, from EQ2 to EQ. SWG might be the other game that shares the chat system, I forget.</p><p>I think level channels always have been world accessible, just most have not bothered to try to join from another server.</p>

I wouldn't imagine Freeport is supposed to be excluded from them, since Test and EQ1 servers (and SWG too, I think) are able to access them as well.</p><p>A server's level channels are different tho... those aren't supposed to be serverwide from what I understand... so that is probably a glitch, like the recent incident where something was allowing spam to slip through on the Auction channels.</p>

Anyone can enter the homeshow channel, eq2x has been chatting in it since eq2x launched without any issue. What is new is somehow people are able to get into the level chats (1-9, 80-89, etc) and are causing trouble. They should not be able to do it, as level chats are server specific. It seems like it is a bug that needs to be taken care of.(K, so a few people beat me to this hehe, sorry for the redundant post!)</p>

EQ2X players even platinium one shouldn't have right to tell on live server even on private chat. The unlimited access chat is garanted for EQ2X not for EQ2 !

Anyway each time someone talk from an other server in public chat it's always trolling, player from other server have absolutly nothing to do in public channel, it's not like they could be lfg or usefull... In theory they could be usefull, but in practice they are just trolling. The ability to talk in public chan from other server (even from live to live) is a false good idea.

I also have a few friends who play on Freeport. I don't think this should be taken away.</p><p>Now as far as 'trolling'... I do watch 1-90 chat on <strong>Everfrost</strong> mostly all day (when not in group/raid). I have not seen Freeport people trolling us... In fact we do a fine enough job of that on our own server within our own community. As others have said, just screenshot and report the offending people. Use text to note what it is. Example: /report profanity</p><p><strong>/petition</strong></p><p>This sends a report into the CS queue. If you note that your did a /report and an approximate time, it helps them find it and resolve it quicker.</p><p><strong>Click the name of the one 'talking' and select "Report Spam"</strong></p><p>If it is actually spam, of course. This marks it for the automated system.</p><p><strong>/ignore [name]</strong></p><p>This allows you to completely ignore that particular individual's chat messages and tells. They just don't exist for you from that point forward.</p><p>As for cross world chat being nothing but trolling. In the aforementioned homeshow channel, there have been individuals from EQ2x discussing various house item placements. They have the exact same housing system on EQ2x. That was no more "trolling" than you starting this thread or claiming some sort of 2nd class status for players in other games no matter their payment type.</p>

<p>lol theres no more EQ2Live, this is EQ2Transition, transition to also being EQ2X. Just over a long period in small steps instead of instant. The finisher being when EQ Next is basically a Freemium WoW.</p>

<p>I don't understand why ANY EQX player has access to EQ2live chanels. I don't care if they're silver,gold, platinum whatever, what is the need for them to chat in our chanels?</p><p>Was it not meant to be kept separate?</p>

<p>Ok I have a live account as well as an extended one. I like being able to chat with friends on live while on extended. Now I heard about a certain troll going over to AB from Extended and I did log on to see what was going on. This trollis known on extended and has basically been starved so I guess he went looking for greener fields.</p><p>I watched chat on AB for a bit and you guys really need to learn to not feed the trolls. There were plenty of people on AB that seemed to have nothing better to do that argue with him. Aside from that after he left you seem to have plenty of trolls of your own as well. Lets not make this about a server when its just the same old deal. /ignore or report. Thatsall you need to do.</p><p>And while I am here and because I am so tired of hearing about extended people buying their way to the top well thatsis just so much bull. The best gear and really the only gear to buy with SC is mastercrafted, thats it. There really isnot a whole lot of difference in the servers outside of selling farmables and a few potions. For the most part these are really good people. I am so sick of people talking about the members there like they are leeches. I am pretty sure more money is spent there than on live. I play there more these days since I only started playing a little over a year ago I never really had the chance to group really. Extended has given me the chance to play the game as it was intended toplay.</p><p>One last thing. I hear people ask on extended all the time about if going to live is a good idea. Now you can complain that you have been cut off from the new players, but come on read these posts. Do you really think that will make anyone feel welcome.</p>

I couldn't care less what you have available to buy in Marketplace you play a different game (EQX) as far as I'm concerned and that is how it was promoted by $oE. Why people there can talk to people on live is beyond me. </p><p>And how exactly will reporting a player that doesn't pay to play affect him?</p>
