<p>I have an old account that has an inactive Everquest 2 paid membership and one of the new free accounts upgraded to silver. I also have several expansions on this account. When I try to log in I can't patch and it says I need to resubscribe to play. What can I do to fix this?</p>

<p>Eq2 and Eq2X are separate games.  If you have an active EQ2 account (paid subscription), there are some benefits that carry over to the EQ2X game.  However they are separate entities.  They even have their own forums <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>If you are trying to log into Eq2, then yes, you will need to susbcribe.  If your intention is to play on the Eq2X game client, then you would need to install that game client.</p><p><span style="border-collapse: separate; color: #000000; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #ffffff; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,Tahoma,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 13px;"><a class="plain" href="http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bin/soe.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=27050&p_created=1285961834&p_sid=O72Njdqk&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=1&p_srch=1&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX 3Jvd19jbnQ9ODMsODMmcF9wcm9kcz0zNjA5JnBfY2F0cz0wJnB fcHY9MS4zNjA5JnBfY3Y9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9YW5zd2Vyc y5zZWFyY2hfbmwmcF9wYWdlPTE!&p_li=&p_topview=1">[EQIIX] Downloading Installer with an Existing EQII Account</a></span></span></p><p><a class="nav" href="../../eq2x/forums/list.m">EverQuest II Extended</a></p><p>I hope that I understood your situation correctly.</p>

<p>Ah yep. I downloaded the wrong installer. Didn't even know there was a different installer. Thanks for the heads up.</p>

<p>No problem, I was glad that it solved your issue.  Be sure to post in the EQ2X forums if you have any further issues with Eq2X <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
