I noticed that neither of the 6.0 delay scout weapons received multiattack after the latest set of modications on test. In order to make these weapons competitive choices for scouts in terms of dps, they need to receive the same treatment as the fighter weapons. This screenshot reveals the current disparity between fighter and scout options on test:

As you can see, the fighter weapons are statistically superior to the scout versions (both 4.0s and 6.0s). Edge of Pure Elemental Fury offers a greater combination of crit bonus, potency, multiattack, and/or damage rating than Rime Coated Blade of Ice and Legatus Strike Blade. I do not understand the logic behind giving the 6.0 delay weapons a higher damage rating than the 4.0s - they should be identical (preferably @ 149.0 rating). In the end, the only tangible difference between Legatus Strike Blade and Rime Coated Blade of Ice should be the delay (4.0 vs 6.0). Each type will have its own set of situational differences.

Also, there isn't a 2nd 6.0 delay weapon available from either difficulty setting to complement the other. I suggest adding a 6.0 delay scout weapon (complete with stats which are balanced with the fighter weapons) to the loot table of Taaltak the Mighty in Kraytoc's Fortress of Rime. Currently, he drops 2 weapons for each archaetype (one-handed and two-handed) except scouts who are limited to just a single 4.0 delay weapon.

Please look into rebalancing the statistics of these weapons and introducing new 6.0 delay weapons in each difficulty setting for scouts. Thank you.

Damage rating on this one needs to be readjusted.

Also throughout the expansion the healer loot is extremely boring. If I'd get anything other then potency/cb and casting speed/recast I might get a heart attack. Scouts and fighers are getting flurry, accuracy, ae autoattack etc but mages and priests dont get anything but the stats stated above. As wisdom doesnt effect heals at all for some healer classes this stat isnt very exciting either! Recovery could be a good place to start, or spell double attack/multi attack for the ones that want to dps.

Recovery is already close to cap in alot of situations, and SDA is highly unbalancing since it doesn't work with DoTs. I would love this to be fixed, but don't have high hopes. Although a lot of caster items wouldn't hurt from some additional casting speed.

Best approach would just be to give mages higher potency/CB/Int than scout/fighter gear to compensate. Honestly I would have loved to see some hate gain on fighter gear, that would be far more useful.

The fighter ones need their multi-attack removed or cut down, really.

Pretty much the only thing that scout 4.0 weapons HAVE to make them remain competitive with 6.0's is the multi attack. I don't want to see the 6.0's have EVERYTHING.

i agree with the OP, if a zerker gets to dual wield with two 6 sec weaps and get the benefit of MA, why shouldnt scouts who are supposed to be dps classes not be able to have that same ability.

Like I posted in the other thread Silius already told me he has 6.0s with MA on them that are going to be added to the loot tables.

Cocytus wrote:

Pretty much the only thing that scout 4.0 weapons HAVE to make them remain competitive with 6.0's is the multi attack. Delay doesn't equate to more damage, just the same amount of damage over a longer time period. There is nothing wrong with putting MA on the 6.0s, in fact it has to be done or no scout will use 6.0~
