I am running my 4th char through the Sentinel's Fate tradeskilling quests, and I'm at the part on Shadows of the Betrayed where i need to zone in to Miragul's library. Now I've done this on 3 chars already with no problems at all, but when i zone in on my woodworker, i can't see anything, or move at all. The whole screen is just black, although i can see on the minimap the quest update, i'm unable to move as well, to go to it.

I've tried logging in and out (it just puts me back outside in Everfrost) and doing a complete file check, and nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas? Would really like to finish this quest!!

Let's clear out the cache and your settings and see if it makes a difference.

You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:

cache folder

eq2_recent.ini

eq2_default.ini

EverQuest2.exe

eq2.ini

As well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:

Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini

Stationname_characters.ini

To do this, please follow these directions:

1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the default directory in (for Windows XP): C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II (for Windows Vista/7): C:Program DataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II

2. Click on MY COMPUTER and then proceed into local disk C:

3. Navigate your way to the default directory, or your chosen installation directory.

4. Next look for any files explained above and delete them.

5. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.

If deleting these files does not resolve your issue, you can restore your backed up files and folders and retain your hotkeys, contact lists, and display settings.

Thanks for the advice - tried all this but sadly no difference

Edit: Using default UI as well. As far as i know i haven't changed any settings or otherwise made any changes to anythign that would affect EQ2 since i did this just over a month ago on another char.. so i really have no idea what the problem can be if its at my end.

Petitions about this have come in and our GM's were able to reproduce it as well. Looks like theres a server side issue with the zone but I do not have access to all the details. Rest assured, it's been identified and we're working to resolve it as soon as possible.
