prevoius pointer critical error

<p>When I try yo log in I get this crit error message: Previous pointer or Block is corrupted. Everything was fine up till then. Whats the fix ??</p>

<p>Unfortunately that error message is indicative of bad sectors or file corruption on your hard drive.  I would recommend checking the S.M.A.R.T. status and running it through some diagnostics available from the hard drive manufacturers website.</p>

<p>Just ran HD tests with different programs and they all come back good.</p>

<p>Update:</p><p>Reinstalled on different partition and everything is fine. Guildy says it sounds like cable from HD to MoBo. Going to swap it out as it is quite a few years old.</p>
