Since the Colbalt Scar was destroyed, all that's left is the Western Wastes, hopefully Siren's Grotto, the city of Skyshrine, the Dragon Necropolis, and the Temple of Veeshan. Almost all dragon territory, and we don't really know how the state of things are over there now that Kerafyrm is back.

Hopefully some Ulthorks and Bulthars.

If the Ulthorks and Bulthars survived, then probably the sirens survived. Quite possibly a small village of Othmir trapped in what is left of cobalt scar, maybe entirely cut off from the ocean and learning to adapt to life inland? Or enslaved by the Sirens.

I'd expect giants. I'd even expect Skyshrine to be completely overrun or a battleground. Skyshrine was populated by drakes, Wyrms and Wyvern plus a whole host of very unusual golems. A few of those golems were unusually intelligent and somewhat independent (and offered quests).

Also we might see the Chetari. Not to mention ice wolves and ice burrowers.

One thing that would be very possible and very cool would be if the Ascended had decided to prepare to invade the Temple of Veeshan themselves and had moved a sky island fortress over it, which explains where Kerafyrm is and why Zek is heading towards the dragons that arn't loyal to Kerafyrm, because that dragon is also in that general vicinity.

Oh and airships. Why else would the agents of Zek be after an air ship in Ulteria unless they wanted to add it to the fleet the giants are building?

^ The Rising was covered by numerous quests in the solo questline alone, but that doesn't mean it isn't still there. We'll make our way up there eventually.

I'm pretty sure that when they say "shot up into the sky" they mean the ground raised quite a distance up, not that it's floating in mid air. The giants were planning to invade the other half of the continent, they had a plan. Not to mention our dragon "friend" in thurg was there to recruit the coldain to help in the fight against the sleeper. Ergo he knows a way to get to WW for the dwarves. We'll get there fine once the Rime and Rallos are dealt with.

Molktor = Seal/sea lion

Bulthar = elephat seal

Ulthork = Walrus

I think those were the general 'animal' families those mobs came from.

I'm pretty sure that skull fortress is Drunder, anyone who checked it out in beta could confirm that for me as I never went up there. We'll find out more about it in the next GU I expect Honestly, the impression i get from the signature questline is that it's there, it's reachable, it is however cut off by something (a wall of wind? conjured by the dragons, perhaps)

expect lot of dragons, maybe new flock of parakeets (as seen in Timerious Deep), possible new nests of droags, new exotic flying ravasect version, nightblood lords, and a possiblity of discovering a long lost never seen "Ice Elves" as seen in old "Role-aide" edition series (old D&D clones), if the ice elves do exist, then be expecting to see and fight new mobs, Banshees.

textures would be different kind of next "Kingdom of Skies" but more colder, frozen, crystalized regions.

that is reason why we got those gryphons ready for DoV2.

The towers above Wakening Lands near Kael are part of Drunder -- there's a few quests that talk about that (not the least of which is the sig quest line).

As for what's in the other half... we know there's giants and dragons fighting each other. The giants are preparing for a major offensive/project.

There'll probably be dragons too, but they might not necessarily be all hostile. Yelniak is in Thurg and while he's not exactly the nicest guy there's a clear desire for the players (and Thurg) to help the dragons against Kael and Rallos. Plus theres the whole subplot of the lesser Zeks being imprisoned by Rallos... the Ragebourne that you help out in Kael are followers of Sullon Zek who is not exactly happy with Rallos.
