Download vs. Streaming, which is best?

<p>Sorry for what is probably a stupid question, but I don't understand the difference.  I used to have to wait for the little box to download and then say PLAY, and it was relatively quick. Seems like every time I logged in, a quick download started, no big deal, then on expansion days, 2-4 hours to download new content.</p><p>This new computer I got, the Alienware by Dell, I did the digital download, now, it streams when I play. I don't understand what the streaming is, but... it appears to be affecting my raiding. Seems very sluggish outside of solo'ing.</p><p>I am pretty much starting over since I have been gone overseas a while, so if you could explain the difference, I would appreciate it. thank you.</p>

<p>The streaming client will let you play right away but will continue to download the game assets as you play.  You can avoid this by letting it download everything up front before hitting play but that is the nature of the streaming client.</p>
