So, I sign into my account, and as the page refreshes to give me the main SOE-Sentinel's Fate page [Why it's still Sentinel's and not Velious is beyond me] my screen locks up in a full screen ad that prompts me to subscribe to Sentinel's or Extended... (I must click a little option at the top right to continue...)

What, a full paid subscription is not enough to grant me an html flag that would prevent such?

It's not a biggie... just annoying. :p

Best ask in tech support forum. My picture has shown DoV for a while now.

It sounds like you are running the EQ2X launcher, not the EQ2 launcher. I believe you only get up to Sentinel's Fate with EQ2X without paying extra. Go to http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=426600 and download one of the other launchers. Personally, I recommend the older "EverQuest II Installer", although it may take a while to download. If you prefer the streaming client, I think you have to download that using the "get the game" link from the eq2players.com site. You should be able to find it through the Knowledge Base (link in the upper right corner of the forums) anyways.

Oh, ty guys for your advice! You're so helpful here, the ppl in-game are write-offs, lol.

I do have the Velious retail pack, I assumed my launcher was prime... I tried that link, thank you guys; my only concern is: the install dialogue says: "An existing Everquest II install has been found" and then I can: Install a new copy, Reinstall/Repair, or Uninstall.

Not good.

Do I lose my client updates if I choose either of the first two options? [This is the full client Launchpad download, mind you] -If this dialogue relates only to the launcher program, why doesn't the warning reflect that? These are the sort of niggling problems coders never think about, sigh. :p

It is not a warning. It's letting you know you have it installed and it found the directory, so you do not install a 2nd copy. You can use the existing directory and avoid re-downloading anything you already have. The full client download is the same as the streaming launcher but all the data is provided upfront as opposed to being streamed, its the exact same LaunchPad.

Repair fixes any LaunchPad related issues, like corrupt/incomplete/or missing LaunchPad files.
