You can try deleting the problem file and forcing the Launcher to re-download it, but it may not get past this issue if the file itself is not the problem. Station Launcher support is very limited and our suggestion at this point would be to make the transition to the EQII specific LaunchPad.

[EQII] LaunchPad

That's basically where my Station Launcher support ends.

Yes, moving to the LaunchPad will prompt a sizable re-download. If you copy your previous files over, however, you can avoid a good amount of it but it still requires updating and file conversions.

WHy would SOE make it so it installs the game twice? I dont get it. I dont want to download 12 GB over again on my laptop, it would take 3 days... I have 13.1 GB in my EQ folder, why doesnt the EQ2 launcher recognize where I have the game and install everything there?

You have control over that part of the process.

As for copying your files, chances are your current Station Launcher is installed to ProgramData or Program Files, the LaunchPad will request C:UsersPublic by default. You can copy the Station Launcher files to the LaunchPad installation folder that you choose, or UsersPublic if left default.

If downloading the game again is out of the question, I would suggest moving your Station Launcher folder out of ProgramData or Program Files (which are protected folders) to something less secure such as your root directory C:EQ2 for example. Always ensure you are running either as an admin by right-clicking the icon and selecting run as admin. That should work around any permission issue preventing Station Launcher right now.

I have just updated to Windows 7 and when updating my EQ2 files, I am getting this exact same error message. Has anyone made any progress in getting this to work yet?

Please download the LaunchPad I linked in the my initial response. Let me know if that one gives you issues too.
