After launching EQ2 a SOE window pops up and runs through a routine where the message says preparing files. Then the Accept / Decline window pops up after clicking accept the SOE window comes back and it says loading graphics. Then the Accept / Decline window pops up again. Then I get the log in screen User name \ Password..

Why is the Accept \ Decline window popping up twice? One more thing , the window still displays the KoS art work. Shouldn't it have DoV artwork on it now after the expansion?

For the EULA popping up twice, which server are you on and have you logged in to another region (such as the North American servers or the EU servers) at any point?

I have always had this in EQ2 (since launch). I live in the UK but have only played on Kithicor (now Butcherblock).

BTW - My launcher (the old original one) still shows Sentinel's Fate in teh Header - even though I'm playing DoV... Has it not been changed?

-Thoronve-

I'll see what information I can get from our LP developer. Not sure if the older launchers have been updated graphically, I use LP3 and that's what we try to transition everyone to. I will ask about that as well.

Is everyone here using a Disc installation?

What methods are each of you using specifically? We have LP1 (was present on most of the printed media), Station Launcher (multi-game), and LP3 our game specific LaunchPads.

Hi Joshua - thank you for looking into this...

My original installation was from Disc - as supplied at game launch. Since then I have purchased each exansion and downloaded updates digitally from the Station Store.

It sounds like I have what you call LP1. I don't have any other SOE games so not really interested in the Station Launcher, but I've no idea what LP3 is - Is this the streaming client launcher? Are there any benefits in migrating to this - and if so, how?

TBH - I'm so used to the double Accept it's not really THAT much of a problem - but it would be nice to only do it once. I would like to see LP1 updated to show DoV though...

-Thoronve-

If your current method and issues with it do not impede gameplay, it's up to you

There won't be much difference to you except some forced download/updates making the transition.

I installed it from the retail DVD box. I do not care for the launch pad as I only have 1 SOE game. I would just prefer to have the EQ2 login pop up and the old standard interface ( with 1 accept click )

If you're using the original launcher open up the properties on your shortcut and add the following parameters after the eq2.exe: C:{PATH}EverquestIIEQ2.exe /env:usmain /lang:en_us This is what I needed to fix the double eula problem after installing a uk copy to access the us servers. It also works the other way around if that's your problem, except that I can't remember the parameter names for the eu servers. Joshua may be able to track that down

I believe it's en_GB but I could be wrong. We don't support LP1 at all anymore.

That works for me (confirmed)!

If LP1 isn't supported anymore, Joshua, how do I (and all of us with the original LP1) get hold of LP3 and install please?

-Thoronve-
