Test_Copy: Old Man Dave

<p>It's been almost a month since Velious was released and Test_Copy'ites have been dieing to test out the new content. Sadly we're stuck doing TSO and SF material because of our gear limitations. I'm remaking this thread (From <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=495630" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=495630</a>) as a formal request to bring our friend "Old Man Dave" back.</p><p>Please consider bringing him back, I know several guilds on Test_Copy that have post-poned their progress until they have the baubles to properly help them.</p><p>Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>There is a buffer now active on Test Copy server only.  She will now also buff tradeskill level.</p><p>However this is also a good time for a reminder that Test Copy server is NOT a persistent server, IS wiped from time to time, and characters/guilds created on this server should NOT be considered permanent.</p><p>This is also (to answer you folks who keep /feedbacking it) why the station marketplace cannot be used on Test Copy, because any items that you purchased for characters on Test Copy would be deleted when the server was wiped.</p><p>Thanks for your assistance testing!</p>

I always thought that perhaps there was some exploit with the account wide items so the option was removed.</p>

<p>Buff bauble is not giving any armor at all. It gave me jewelry, weapons and a cloak, but no armor. (Paladin)</p><p>Also, just wondering, why do you wipe test server at all? In my eyes, all it does is push people away from test server because they don't want their characters getting deleted.</p>

That is why buffers are on the server. It is not, nor has it ever been meant to be a permanent testing environment.  That is what the 'Test' server is for.  <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>If your a Lv.2 or higher of any Tradeskill Class, you can choose correctly. Or do what I do, Hail and get 90 Carp, Delete Bauble, Hail and Choose your real Class, and it will give you a bauble. Then use it. ( You Can't hail her if you have a bauble in Inventory )</p>

<p>And Yes, Test Copy is not Permenant. However the wipes are more rare than what most people think which stops people from playing the server at all. ( I've talked to many who assumed it was wiped every few weeks ). I do play Test Copy alot and have built a guild there, So when it's time to test new things there is already an active community there for people who will come to join for their time in TC.</p>

Had a friend go over to test server and he hasn't played his live toon since (or atleast not that ive noticed). He keeps in touch with tells though and told me that he's in an entire guild that treats the server as if it was regular play.</p>

<p>Test_copy and Test are not the same. Test is permanent, Test_copy is for testing a specific thing some times and gets wiped.</p>

He has gotten used to the changes though, was letting Eveningsong be aware that some people play it like Live.</p>
