View Full Version : Issues in Antonica, Feerrott, Lavastorm, and Zek

Alrighty, so I've been having some issues in Antonica, Feerrott, Lavastorm and Zek ever since the latest expansion was released. In Antonica and Feerrott NPCs float in the air and are untargetable by cursor, I have to tab through them. Players in Antonica and Feerrott also lag all over and are very difficult to cast upon, I get a 'can't see target' message quite a bit. In Lavastorm and Zek there is no ground once you leave the docks, so I just fall right through. So I'm wondering if there are any fixes for this. I ran into another person who was having the same issue, so at least it's not just me. We are both running Windows 7...I'm running it on a macbook pro laptop through bootcamp if that helps. Thank you for any replies.

I am in a similar jam. Feerott is my zone. Headed there for the Lodizal shield HQ update. Zoned in through the Wizard portal. Everything looked fine, til I stepped out of the cave and then immediately fell through the world, and it put me in a "safe place" which is the revive tent by the docks. Where, the zone screen is black and I can't move. Tried again today, tried bell, black screen, frozen toon. Wizzie portal, same issue of falling through world, sent back to docks, black screen. Druid portal all is fine as you zone in til you leave the rings then you iimmediately fall through the world. Tried on both computers same issue. Tried with and without mounts... same issue.

My guildmate had this same problem, including a few other lil' spots in different zones. She tried EVERYTHING possible.

She did fix it tho, she uninstalled and plays now through the streaming client, and hasn't had that problem anymore.

Ahah, alright. I'm kind of terrible with computers, so this may be a dumb question, but is the streaming client the launchpad that doesn't load the whole game at once? Because I've been playing through that. Thanks for the replies!

Pretty much yea. Of course, that was just the end result. Who knows if anything of the random things she did was the working one.

All I know is it was a lot of uninstalling, deleting folders and leftovers, driver updates for pretty much everything.. Hope you can figure it out, I would be pretty upset if that was happening to me.

Yeah, i'm about to try uninstalling the game and deleting the leftover folders and whatnot. I tried uninstalling it already and then reinstalling it, but that didn't work....then a guilldmate informed me that that doesn't completely uninstall it, so I will be trying to delete the leftover folders. I'm pretty sure my drivers are up to date since I just got them set up a couple weeks ago, so I'm hoping this will do it. Now I have to figure out where these leftover folders are ahah, wish me luck! Thanks again for the reply!

Ahah, I'm sure this sounds a bit dumb, but does anyone have any suggestions as to where to find the leftover folders that stick around even after I uninstall Everquest 2? I just want to make sure I find everything before I try reinstalling. Thanks!

That is the only location anything would be sticking around in, such as custom UI files etc...

Woo! It worked, thanks everyone for the help! I went to the game folder and deleted everything, then uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Everything seems to be working fine. Gracias!

Had the same issue. Removing the assetcache folder did the trick
