View Full Version : Elemental detonation = 62% of a monk parse ? 1,2 million dps for 10 sec Yes i Can !

It was on ring PQ, monk did 81 000 dps (3mn.27sec fight). Elemental detonation did itself 50K dps, which is 62% of the monk damage. Monk auto attack did only 15K. Next higher DPS was around 35K (Necro, scout).

So unique rune did more damage than 1,5 Necro ... a unique rune did more damage than all the other monk attacks.

The 30-40K proc managed to trcigger 20 times in the same second.

Monk dps rose to 1,2 million during the last 10 seconds of the fight.

Monk did 16 million of damage, among those 16, 10 millions were done in the last 10 seconds.

As a consequence with a 10sec immunity, this rune allow to solo any mob with less than 10 million hp.

Note this was single target damage since all but 3 of the hundred of proc of elemental detonation were on narandil.

Probably and exploit or not intended.

You do understand how that rune works don't you? It's an amazing rune...only when you have large enough encounters, which PQ's are definitely designed around. For this primarily single target designed expansion though, it is kinda terrible.

the bug he is referring to happens when you "kill" a mob, but its corpse is still tab targetable, like in the case of Narandi. the proc will continually hit because the corpse isnt going away. In the case of Ring War, the damage done from this proc only occurs after Narandi is dead

The proc is a 25% change to trigger a moderate aoe (18k base) when the target dies, taht perfectly fit with your explanation. I wonder if the bug can be exploited with other targets that don't dissapear when the die

Thanks for explaining how it happens instead of posting stupidities like did the first Beavis.
