This one kinda straddles Lore and Tradeskilling...so if this is in the wrong section please move it ^_^;;;

I find it odd that we are teaching Gnolls, who are wearing leather, how to make leather. They seem to be having trouble surviving, since they are cut off from most resources. This even became a Topic of Chat on the Test.Test Channel.

I personally think the reason they have trouble yet have some sheds, weapons and other metal implements (and even crafted items that they return for the daily quest) is because the loss of skilled trades-gnolls is very recent.

I wonder if the Tower Targeted the trades-gnolls first! Now that aid has been rendered both by Crafters and Adventurers, it has been left kind of Open-ended though.

I do wonder if later on there will be Gnolls in the Othmir camp (Fina's or Nitpick's) relearning lost trade-skills and if player crafters will be able to help.

Kind of an evolving questline?

Sorry if I'm not making sense, just tossing all of my ideas out at once and hope to refine them later on.

I find it awful that after 90 seasons of killing gnolls I'm teaching them to can food.

Maybe they stole their leather clothes from others. Besides, it's not like the gnoll you speak too is the one who created the clothes.

I'm thinking more salvaged or orlder clothing, I do find it odd that they don not have any crafters. Also the Snowfang have otherwise been a Neutral Clan of Gnolls even back in EQ1.

Gnolls in general, especially in EQ1, always had wonderful lore.

I remember running around Iceclad Ocean with the Icepaw gnolls. I always thought they would make great PCs.

Matte of a fact I just went through there on my EQ1 account to kick Lodi.

http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/f...tml?faction=211

Yeah the Snowfangs existed in EQlive. They were white furred gnolls back then, and entirely peaceful.

Having started my EQ1 Monk in Qeynos I found the idea of a Neutral Gnoll clan fascinating (Especially after learning the lore of how someone [Removed for Content]'d the relations with the Darkpaw-and made that Claw necklace HQ) , even more so once I read the Pen-and-paper Monster manual and the fact that they had player stats and where allowed the Monk class.

(Of course the cannon-ness of the PnP is up for debate.)

This is why I was hoping to see them learning again now that they have disaster relief via both the adventurer and tradeskill questlines (I've done both so I see Othmir in the camp)

Would love to see them continue the questlines and have them obtain better houses (maybe Igloo types for now with some rock added and some Player crafted Wards placed around-the Kerra ones come to mind)

Then again I thought they should have continued that quest in Everfrost and let us help rebuild the house and add a stockade.
