Seems mem-wiping mobs are being used to the extreme in Velious, has anyone else been running out of snaps to control them?

Rescue - all fighters get on multi minute reuse

Assault (AA) - all fighters can get on multi minute reuse

Holy ground - 1 AE position, up once a minute, dosent seem to be enough positions even on a single target wipping mob.

Raw Taunts - pretty much dose nothing no matter their numbers (since their so far behind the dps curve)

Amends - nice to hold hate, but when dropped to zero hate, it takes a while to get back on top (if your amends target isnt dead in the process).

I know a few of the top guild DPS-Power though a lot of the mobs so this is more or less going out to the average paladin player.

Kinda wish one of our heric endlines was a Holy Ground positional enhancer since currently our endlines are meh at best.

Yes, paladins suck at snap agro. It sucks sometimes, but should not get changed. It's one of the downsides of playing a paladin over other tankclasses.

If you know the mob memwipes, then keep your good hate abilities for just that moment. And don't waste your snap immediately, get some initial hate first instead of wasting the positional increases to get more than that some dumbfire pet. If the mob wants to hit a squishy or your healer, make good use of intercede.

But besides that yes paladins have fewer snaps than other tanks. Again that is one of the trade offs to be a paladin. Amends and Sigil are actually pretty good to build up agro back. Typically with mem wiping mobs you have 2 tanks so when one drops off you than the other tank gabs it. This gives you time to grab hate back. In past expansions (and this expac) i have not seen much of an issue with the mem wiping mobs. Though i have not hit any HM mobs yet this expac.

Just talking instance mobs - raid mobs are not an issue really (for any fighter).

Amends is great, if your target didn't die and is within 35 meters (short range on amends, so can't use on a ranger or some mages that stand at max range).

I don't mind having fewer tools but people are really putting far to much emphasis on amends and sigil; they always have since we got these abilities 6 years ago, the games changed a lot since those simplier days.

There was nothing wrong with the old Holy Gound, it made up for this lacking (but people cried a storm of tears). Ok, 24 was a lot of positions, but now it is 1 position and a dps tool. At least make it 5 positions and this limitation will be back to a more balanced level at least. I wouldn't even mind spending 22 AA to enhance HG (most of our AAs are crud anyway).

Again though in heroic instance there is no reasion to clear hate to zero several times a fight (meaning more then 5).

I know this is a oldish rant but it's really shining in Velious and is worth a second look.

The only mob i realy have problems with memwhipe, is the first mob at GuK4 HM

In normal instances, i kick back and relax, if a have my favorit ranger with me. I dont even have to taunt or else.

So far, i dont know any mob at dov which drives me crassy about memwhipe

Can you state an exampel?

-edit- i still have some good old jewls from SoF with hate procs on me ,)

Why most of these people are not understanding what you are going through is probably because they are not in casual guilds with non raid geared dps in thier group. Instead of 7+ mem wipes to deal with, they have to deal with 3. DPS makes any fight much easier. Since my guild started gearing people up, mobs are dead long before I have to worry about snap aggro anymore. Some zones are just not as friendly to casual dps.
