Hello ! I have played Eq2 in the far 2005. I di enjoy it but for many factors I did abandon my chars. I bought some expansions and stopped my recurring subscription while I was playing.

I have stopped following news and infos on EQ2 approximately 1 year ago.

Last week a friend and I decided to go and browse teh website, we found that Eq2 Extended.

We are very confused by the infos and the different pop ups, clients and stuff you can get so here some questions.

1) I have downloaded some game from the http://launch.soe.com/eq2x/the streaming one

I logged in and made a char on some server and played a bit to enjoy the game.

How is it related to the Full Game? Can I finish download it and then convert it in some way to the other or I have to re start it anew?

2) How much is my old account active and how is it related this Bronze Membership to the old one? Which server do I have access to?

3) If I want to play my old char what do I have to do and pay? Which link do I follow and what features will I get or do not get?

I did not follow the fate of the merges nor logged in after any of them, is it a problem?

Please try to be patient and informative, any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you very much

Ravenslock

EQ2X is an entirely separate product from Everquest 2 (Live, as we refer to it).

EQ2X is Everquest 2 Extended, a free-to-play version of Everquest 2. This product has it's own servers and tiered optional membership plans to unlock the features available in Everquest 2 Live.

You are allowed to copy your Live character to the Extended product and servers, but there is a 3500 SC cost involved (in the form a Character Copy Token available on the in-game Marketplace) and is a 1 way trip for that copied character. You cannot copy that same character again nor can you bring your progress from Extended back to Live.

Thanks for the reply!

So if I want to play my old chars I have to re enable my old Eq2 Live membership paying it, ok. And it will have no effect on my Eq2X one, ok.

As for the client installed on the PC is there any shortcut I can convert eq2x streamed version to eq2 live by copying it to different folder and re enabling different exes?

And about the char and server merged? I had my char merged to same server and now I have a total of 10 char on same one (Splitpaw+Runnyeye) , is it not 7 for each server the maximum? how can I manage it?

As for having more characters than available slots, you would have to purchase additional slots to be able to see them all. If there are any characters you can delete, that will also make on of the hidden characters available.

I have not actually tried to convert EQ2x to live personally, but if you do want to give it a shot I would suggest making a copy of your Extended folder first and working with the copy. Download the LaunchPad for Everquest II and install it to the copied folder and run the LaunchPad.

[EQII] LaunchPad (Live)
