<p>SO my steps go as follows when starting the EQ2</p><p>Open Launcher>> Allow time for updates and preload to finish >> Click [Play]</p><p>>><span > Fatal ErrorEverQuestII has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.<verify> E:liveeq2gameclientsrcClientApp.cpp (3975):Failed to initialize asset system: error during initialization(http://eq2.patch.station.sony.com/patch/eq2/assets/live/)00430d09</span></p><p>Can anybody help me figure out whats wrong?</p>

<p>Also now that I've tried Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game several times i figured out that its not working ..... It wont uninstall properly or reinstall properly... and every time it does "reinstall" it take about 5 mins and does a very small "update" then i click [Play] again and it gives me the above error once again!</p>

<p>Are you using the multi-game Station Launcher?  If so, you may need to make the transition to our latest LaunchPad.  You can use your existing EQ2 folder as the installation path but I would recommend making sure it is moved from the ProgramData folder if that is where you have the game installed to now.</p><p><a href="http://launch.soe.com/eq2" target="_blank">[EQII] LaunchPad</a></p>
