I cannot connect to the login servers, it cycles through them unable to connect. In the end i get the "Could not connect to login server. The server may be busy; please try again in a few minutes". Been trying for 30 minutes. Everything is fine on my end, no firewalls, great 30mb cable connection, no problems. Reset rounter/modem and everything. I really feel as thought my game did not do toays update. Is there any way to force it to update?

Ah, yes. The old "Server down for an update" answer. Well, guess what! That answer doesn't cut it anymore. This is the 3rd or 4th time since DOV went live that this has happened. Each time, the EQ Network Page says "All servers are up" and so does the Tab on the new Station Launcher. Last time this happened, I was given an answer by a SOE Volunteer that you shouldn't pay attention to those pages because they aren't accurate.

Oh? Really? So my response was if they aren't accurate, then how is anyone to know when an update is finished and the game is ready to play? I'm not very good at guessing.

My theory now is that either the update has screwed up (highly likely based on past experience) or someone forgot to throw the switch to turn the servers back on. (Also highly likely since it has happened in the past.) Anyhow, nothing we can do except complain about it and continue to pay the monthly fee. Oh, we could quit the game though, couldn't we?

I know that,,,my comment concerns the server status page not being updated,,,so at 10:45ish when i checked it, it said servers were up, which obviously was not the case,,,

Exactly, so whats the point of having an update page if its never updated correctly?

Ya, the website's network status page hasnt been reflecting the server status since DoV launch. Only change i see is when they Lock the servers, then the network status page will change to Locked, then eventually All Servers Up.
