View Full Version : Swashbuckler "Reach" AA

<p>Hello all!</p><p>Is it intended the Swashbuckler Reach AA (increases melee attack range by 80%/ range+ 4) does not increase melee auto attack range in PVE?</p><p>Right now I can attack mobs with combat arts from 13 metres while my auto attack is at 5 metre max.</p><p>Would be fantastic if that could be changed. Right now it does seem quite unfair.</p>

<p>The enchanter AAs that are supposed to increase melee range don't work either.  I don't know why this is but it has been broken for as long as I can remember.</p>

<p>this problem was reported by numerous people in beta, soe didn't acknowledge the issue then, i doubt we'll see an acklowedgement until after the class manifesto and pending revamps</p>

<p>I'd fix it myself if I had the code. Hope it does get fixed soon as it'd be very useful.. well fixed or revamped into something else=)</p>

<p>I really wish people would stop asking for something else. I saw the same thing on the beta forums. I LIKE reach, even as it is, only extending CA range. I LIKE that. I would not sacrifice that for something else, even if auto attack range is not extended. I feel like someone will read that and get the dumb idea to turn it into something boring.</p>

That's patently false if it's only actually affecting CAs. Seems like you should either make it do what the description says or change the description.</p>

Change the description (not the skill) or fix it imo.</p></blockquote><p>Make it work the same as it does in PvP since that is the way it's supposed to work.  It really doesn't make any sense either since if they were to make it not work in either PvE or PvP I would have suspected they would disable it in PvP as that is where it gives the biggest advantage.  I would really love if they fixed it for enchanters especially as then I would be able to melee better without having to worry about the BS 100% AoE autoattack that all mobs this expansion seem to have.</p>

The ability in the STR AA line is supposed to do the same thing as the swashy AA when it is maxxed out but currently has the same problem.</p>

<p>The change is in and the Swashbuckler community is very grateful!</p><p>It seemed like my CAs still have a tad longer range than my auto attack has. I'll check it when I find some time, but it works fine as it is=)</p>

<p>This seems to be...different again. Seems like I used to be able to stand futher back, but now I have to get closer and closer to the mobs to get ACT to trigger for my auto attacks.</p>
