Having the exact same problem. Maybe the problem is related to other software updates that were installed.

On my system (Windows Vista 64) for example the following updates were installed:- Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin Version 10.2.152.32- Microsoft Silverlight Version 4.0.60129.0- Java(TM) 6 Update 24- Security Update for CAPICOM (KB931906)

I created a workaround by installing the Station Launcher.

PS. Also on my system I cannot find a launchpad.log file. I could be wrong but maybe this fiel is only generated by older versions of the lauchpad but not by LP3 anymore.

From my home PC the launcher works fine (Win7 64 bit). I dunno if there was a server side problem and they have fixed it, or the problem is with Vista 64. I will try tomorrow from work again

Was working fine for me until yesterday, using the stream version on windows 7(64). Uninstalled eq2 and downloaded again, worked fine until now so something gets corrupted after you log on and/or out.

I think I've found a solution. I've opened all my browsers (Internet Explorer and Firefox) and deleted the temporary internet files in every one. Then I tried to open http://launch.soe.com/lp3/index.html in both browsers (now it brought me more than a black site) and started the launchpad and it works again.

I hope this help you too.

i am having th e same issue but i notice it hangs when connecting to log in server. If I am using th eold launch pad I can cancel log in and try relog in and it works. The problem is I cant unselect remember password option at this stage. I need a way to reinstall th elaunchpad or force it to forgot my user id etc so I can manully type in my passwd and try to log in at tha tpoint.

asking to clear temporary file is reasonable but asking to clear all cookies is un responsible.. how about all othe r saved password accounts for other web sites? we log in eq2 daily... suddenly it stop to work over night, its our problem or its the soe who did soemthing behind our back and make it not working?

We've eliminated a majority of the causes on our end for the 1015 errors and bad stream errors specifically but what also see are the same errors being generated from running antivirus software such as NOD32 etc. There was an issue earlier in the week that may have been related to this. I do apologize for not getting to this thread, it ran it's course over the weekend and I was working on the other threads on similar reports.

this is truly not encouraging to me, being that this forum started in March of this year, & here we are approaching Thanksgiving, & yet still this issue hasn't been completely resolved. This is nearly identical to my issue from http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=509488 . Their are many suggested ideas here, & some work for a few players while many others have not. Yet I'm not seeing the resoution from the support team. As what others have mentioned, I to am having a launchpad issue that "mysteriously" stopped working after logging off for less than 1 hour & trying to sign back in. I also agree w/ the individual who stated that we (consumers/players) should not be required to be computer savy in order to play a game we already subscribe to.

Hopefully support will have an expedited resolution to myself & the many others here soon. Thanx.

1015 errors exist in all of our LaunchPads.

Now, what a 1015 error is might bring this in to perspective. 1015 errors are connection errors. Either our servers are down, which right now they definitely are not, or you have security software/appliances preventing your access. This could be blocked ports on your router, firewall software, antivirus locking files, admin privileges not allowing you to write files, and so on.

With the great deal of titles we have and the amount of players who may not be aware of what a firewall is or how to use port forwarding or even allow admin privileges, the last thing it should be is surprising to see this occur.

I'll go ahead and lock up this resurrected thread. For your first post I'll just recommend you try to be more courteous with people.
