While in my house placing items, I noticed that my mirror (Just a regular mirror, nothing fancy) was a frame around....blackness. I searched the options, but found nothing to change that. I then thought "Maybe it's missing textures," so I ran around my house seeing if there were any missing elsewhere. I found a few things that I've collected in my house that seem to be missing textures. I know I could delete everything and just download it all again, but that would take quite some time. Is there anything a bit less draztic I can do? (And, like I said, it's random stuff. Seems more like a corrupt file(s) to me.

Of course, it could be my system being cranky, but since it's only a handful of things, I'm not too sure. Can someone direct me to the right stuff to delete so that I can try patching it back up?

There is an asset scan feature in the options of the LaunchPad that may identify and re-download damaged or incomplete files.

Once you log in to the LaunchPad, don't hit play just yet, instead click Options on the top left and select Scan.

thank you. I'll give that a try, and let you know next time I go into the game.

<edit to add:> I'm using the Station Launcher, and what the closest option I found is "Run Full Scan", and it gives this pop up when clicked: "This will validate all downloaded game files for EverQuest II." I presume this is the option I need to do? I went ahead and started the full scan, so I'm waiting to see what happens </edit>

One thing to note is that missing textures are typically outlined or filled in as a green flat texture.

This may be a simply reflection issue. Have you reviewed the advanced options? When looking over the display options you can select Advanced on the top right of the screen to open the more robust settings.

Yeah, I looked in the options, and the advanced, but I wasn't sure what I was looking for (as per the reflection). The stuff isn't anything that affects my gameplay, it's just that I know this mirror reflected before, and that it isn't now. I'll keep you informed until I get it fixed

The reflection options are controlled with the following.

Ctrl-O (open your options); click the advanced button; under the display options, in the “water” section, tick the “water reflections” tick box. (Despite the name, this also affects non-water reflections.), if this option is already checked, uncheck it, apply, and re-check it.

Ok, that was it I have no idea how that got unchecked, but it fixed it. (I'm refering to reflections, by the way.) Thank you for the assistance.
