So I soloed Shardtooth tonight

<p>I just had an AWESOME fight, 91 heroic, and he has some big damage bursts.  I was all over that guy, had to chop him down to the point where I'm at 5% health, he's at 7% and I'm all "oh please, please, this si sooo close!!"...  and then Crusader's faith was ready and I knew I'd won.</p><p>Loved it.</p>

<p>You mean where 11 people will come up and spout SK is op, 9 people will say shardtooth is easy, 3 people will claim i have a terribad AA build denigrate me for half a page and then show 2 of my 253 points should have been put somewhere else...  Oh, and 4 people will claim my posts are irrelevant because of my server....  don't forget those guys.</p><p>I'm ON flames...  for the last 5 years almost. With 1800 posts to my name.</p><p>I'm trying to encourage more people here to post here, because there is nowhere a new SK can go to ask questions and actually get them answered...  definitely not flames.  Flames has great stickies followed by 9000 pages of abuse.  And half of those stickies are a great deal less relevant today since they've not been updated since just after SF came out.  Definitely not here.  The NERF SK INTO OBLIVION crowd ran them all off.</p>

<p>great for you, I guess.  I had to work at it to live through that fight, every second there was the thrill of "will i pull this off"?  I had adds, lucky stoneskins coming in at 2% because suddenly my health is dropping like a rock, The riposte buff doing a whole lot of nothing because he's using spells too...  little surprises...</p><p>I guess that what I was trying to convey and didn't isn't that Shardtooth is some awesome mob to solo, or drops excellent loot or anything like that...  What I'm saying is, I had a truly enjoyable, challenging, edge of my seat fight.  I wish there were more like that.  We get a lot of all or nothing...  mobs way too easy to solo or mobs way too hard..  I've seen it go both ways, really, but it's rare that you have a fight that you know you might or might not win.</p>

<p>Joar, thanks for the post. You are right on many points, for us average geared players there arean't a lot of fights like this. I too wish more folks would post here, other boards aren't exactly safe for new or casual players to ask questions.</p><p>Val</p>

<p>I felt the same when when I soloed him on my monk. It was a great fun fight that was close. It doesnt matter if im good bad or badly geared . It was a fun fight for me as well.</p>

That stifle can be nasty! Crap loot on those though, considering its a hard heroic solo effort.</p><p>Yaka hoof guy down in the cave is also a fun solo fight, gets rough though when they knockback + detaunt, right into social aggro.</p><p>really killed my tizmak faction farming that guy</p><p>Also dont forget to farm the spider, just remember to cure that elemental dot, [Removed for Content] that hurts!</p>
