Hiya, I noticed there were one or two other threads like this but have been locked. Where can I comment on lag and where will be best to receive updates? I have tried playing for the last hour or so and am now giving up as I can wander past mobs without them seeing me and even when I can get a fight going it seems to recognise a button every 5 or 10 seconds. The whole zone was like it and everyone in it affected (Great Divide).

I must admit at times it is ok but there have been many times recently where suddenly the game will freeze and i am free to wander zones without fear of being seen. The only way to sort it, is by rebooting. It isn't just myself that has been affected in this way and ping is way down in the 100's at the time.

I am not going to rant and rave but I keep seeing "We will upgrade hardware", but if it doesn't done fairly sharpish surely you will lose players. I play this game to enjoy it but I am recently logging off more frustrated and peeved than when I logged in. Is the reason timescales aren't mentioned because it is a harsh truth? The game in it's current guise (purely since merger and expac) for myself is largely unplayable.

I see the same problems, the UI lag can be upto several seconds with the broker up to a minute at times (which is right now the main thing that causes me to log off early). Zoning too has been a lottery, especially at peak times with the question whether I can get to the other zone or I'll DC (we had a level 80 dungeon run fizzle out yesterday due to party members DCing).

Right now I think given the option I'd have Runnyeye back for sure, while its not completely unplayable for me (I'm loving DoV still) the lag greatly increases the difficulty level, especially for classes that rely on movement (my Ranger dies a lot when I'm unable to kite properly). DoV without the lag would really be awesome...

I encourage all who suffer from chronic lag to post in this thread:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...497400

The devs do take notice of substantial threads. I say: spread the word among guildies/ raid mates.

Broken link or closed thread?

I'm afraid I don't have as much confidence as yourself. I think they are slightly changing things to make lag better but it is all stuff that is in game such as the SG PQ. They may reduce the amount of mobs which may make it better but the server needs hardware and not a band aid. Much as I like the idea of PQ's they actually just make it more obvious that the servers cannot cope.

When people say that RW is fine so just reduce mobs it makes me laugh as RW is hardly ideal. The fact that there is only 2 or 3 seconds ca lag does not make it good. Relatively better sure, but not good. I am enjoying the expac but it would be so much better if the open zones weren't so laggy. I would love to know if there is any light at the end of the tunnel.

Has anyone tried these on EQ2X or the other servers on the new hardware? I am not having a sly dig I am just interested what PQ's are like over there. This game working on hardware that could cope with the released content would be great.

I checked again and the thread is now locked. Irony eh? Substantial threads will never come about if they are locked. I wish when they requested that we post somewhere they make a link to it. As I said above it isn't just the lag it is the lag specific to myself which is Splitpaw. I asked where I should post 2 weeks ago and hey look, no reply.

Sure I care about other servers and the reduction of lag across the board but I would like to know about the recently mentioned additional hardware we were getting. I will not hold my breath on a reply.

These are not performance support requests and may be overlooked when I am making my rounds to provide support. It is not intentional.

What I'll do is express your concerns to the appropriate parties but beyond that you will need to post feedback on the appropriate forums. The support forums are for support requests. This may be most appropriate on a general gameplay discussion forum.

Fair enough, like I said I just wanted to know where to post it for the most likely chance of a response. I'll go check the General Gameplay section
