I do not have the SF or the new DoV expansions yet, and was told I could not advance past lvl 80 in any manner. But yesterday while doning the harvesting quests for tokens at the city festival, I ding lvl 81 tradeskill. Can someone explain if this is supposed to happen and I can or can't reach lvl 90 as tradeskill? and if so, are there crafting recipies I can buy without the expansions?

Thanks

Synestra - lvl 81? master tailor - AB server

I suspect you found a bug. The SF expansion is where the level limit was raised. If you do not have the SF expansion that you can not gain anything past 80.

Congrats on 81 though. I'm sure it was a surprise!

Just check and yes it says entitlement Sentinals Fate. What does that mean and what do I do about it?

Synestra

Someone may be able to correct me on this one since I'm not certain at all... but I believe that means you have access to SF now, whether or not you paid for the expansion. (My guess would be that it's included in your regular subscription cost now that there is a new expansion out.) Hence, you can now advance to become a level 90 tradeskiller. I don't think you have to do anything at all, except enjoy the new content!

Synestra, by any chance are you an All-Access subscriber?

If you are, that automatically gives you a gold membership in EQ2x, and all subscribers to that get all xpacs but the latest free. As near as I can tell, it is impossible to be flagged for something on EQ2x and not on Live, or vice-versa. So when the SF flag was given for that game, it affects Live accounts too.

Could even be that all subscribers to Live are automatically considered EQ2x players at Bronze level, which would still do the same thing.

I have regular recurring account for EQ2 live, and bronze membership for EQ2x

I don't recall DLing for any long period of time as like DLing an expac.

My guild leader thinks maybe I have ability to reach lvl 90 tradeskill, but not have access to the SF or DoV special faction recipies and such, just the basic recipies from merchant.

Synestra

Your whole account likely got flagged because you have bronze characters on EQ2x and anyone on X automagically gets the previous expansion for free.

I wonder if that goes for subscription now, too, or only subscription that has character(s) on X linked to the account.

I think you got it because you have an account on eq2x. Everyone on eq2x got SF for free now. And the way they tag the account it affects both live eq2 and eq2x. So enjoy!

Thank you all for responding and helping to figure this out.

Yes I am going to lvl up and enjoy! I joined a guild and they're going to help me with all the "new" SF content to get caught up.

Thanks again folks.

Synestra lvl 80 fury / 82 tailor - Antonia Bayle

I remember seeing Smokejumper post a week or so ago that their policy now was going to be only to charge for the current expansion -- all previous content would be gratis. I can't find it with a quick search, so it might have been on the EQ2X forums (They show up on my dev tracker feed too).

It's a pretty good way to run things. If anything they should be plastering the walls saying it rather than having it in one random post.

Well, let's put it this way.. I've had an EQ2 account for a long time, not always active, i THINK I bought one expansion way back when, not the things you didnt get charged for, but an expansion, I've never bought anything else and I have all entitlements up thru DoV...

Yea, I worded that wrong. One of the problems with posting at work lol..

Up to.. DoV.. And I was just pointing out that the other person probably has every expansion even though they didnt buy them.
