Hello, sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in.

I know of the few EverQuest novels that exist: A Rogue's Hour, Ocean of Tears, The Blood Red Harp, Truth and Steel.

Does anyone know if there are others or will be other EverQuest or possibly EverQuest 2 novels? I'd like to see one or two that focus on my two favorite evil races: The Dark Elves, and the Iksar. Or a novelization of the Age of Cataclysm, the rise of the Rallosian Army, and everything leading up to the opening events of EverQuest 2, what do the rest of you think?

Those are the only 4 that were ever published. It wasn't a very successful venue.

There were a few EQ comics made. Mostly 1 shots.

Ruins of Kunark told the story of Fironia Vie being captured and taken to Kunark and such.

Transformation was the tale of a young dark elf warrior on a mission for Seloxia Punox.

Both of which can be found pretty cheap on Ebay.

The problem being that they where one shots. I liked the Kalimah one best

They tried to fit in too much at once.

Transformation for me was better than the one about kunark lol

I also liked truth and steel and the blood red harp more than the other 2 D: I could only finish 1 chapter of rogue's hour before I wanted to set the book on fire and I got bored of Oot after 5 pages >_>

I would like to work on my rough draft of an EQ2 novel, but not sure where to start. It could be a series, I'd love to do it. Would it be like the other "theme" novels (like Star Trek) where you have to follow certain guidelines?

I had a friend that is working on 2 novels inspired on EQ1's norrath (they are pretty good =o) ... she gave the characters (and GM npcs) they own respective personalities and stuff, so I'd say the only guide lines would be dont change the name of places lol, rest is up to you ... imo.

Heh I'm not going to pretend i havent tried to write stories of Norrath from the era of EQoA and EQ1/EQ2. But i'm no t that good of a writer. So most of my stories are 20 chapters long... in 40 pages....lol.

In fact, he worked with a collaboration of people with EQ novels.

http://www.gamezone.com/news/item/n...erquest_novels/

Though his Forgotten Realms novels are also amazingly fantastic.

Did you read the link you posted? It's 7 years old and no where does it say he wrote an EQ novel.

Fast forward to present 2011, and reality... He wrote the forward for an EQ novel The Rogues Hour. Nothing else.

Yeah he really had very little to do with that book, which was HORRIBLE compared to the other 3.

No, not really. I just looked at it, saw 'Salvatore' and 'EQ novel' and thought it was referring to the book I saw in the clearance bin that R.A.S. wrote.

These books made Jury Duty bearable. ;P I read the last 200 pages of Ocean of Tears and I almost finished the whole of Blood and Steel. (and I never even got picked to serve either! That was just waiting for the attorneys to get it together. o.0 )

Blood Red Harp has to be my favorite of them though.

I read the World of Warcraft books too, and I'd love to have as many Everquest books as WoW ones. Those four EQ books are outnumbered horribly on my shelves. *sniff*
