Does anyone know if Sunder can trigger from other players as well as the Brigand/Swash? Each time I parse it, I'm the only one triggering Sunder in ACT. Is it supposed to trigger on any player? The description says that when the target takes damage, it has a 10% chance to cast Sunder (1200 to 2200 piercing damage).

If this ability is only triggered by the Rogue, then I was thinking about changing it to Change of Engagement. However, on training dummies, I've noticed that reducing the max health (using Will to Survive with 5% reduction) does nothing. I've parsed 8 times each on a heroic training dummy (8 reducing max health, 8 times not reducing health) and I do pretty much the exact same DPS and total damage in both sets of trials; I don't see a max health decrease.

Has anyone else tested these out?

sunder is pretty good and was second on dps to autoattack in a raid. I dont parse much in groups so not sure there.

I have never seem the max HP thing do anything no way im gona take another one. The other one is so bad its a joke. Sunder is the only real choice.

Ah, I think I figured it out. Sunder is showing as my hit when someone else triggers it. And, thanks for your info Nazon, I'll be sticking with Sunder

Yea i was kinda shocked when i saw another max HP reduction talent. I dont think the first one works. I dont trust sony to make something work in the background that i cant see. They have never answered how this works when it wears off. Why we see no change when its aplied. That just shows how out of touch devs are with the brigand class. Since we are the least played class im guessing they dont care.

Sunder is also my second hardest hitting attack in raids, with DoM third. Auto attack is by far numero uno with the higher DA. My concern about brigs is our dps is falling further amoing DPS classes. Prior to XPAC we could out dps a coercer or illy. Not anymore. So brigand dps is now behind assasin, ranger, wizard, warlock, conji, necro, swash, illy, and coercer. That is pretty sad. Of course I am speaking equally geared and equally skilled.

Before XPAC, I was always in top 5 of raid DPS, sometimes #1 or #2. Now even players who lack skill from other classes can out dps.

I know exactly how you feel. Assassins do 1.5x to 2x my dps. Sometimes more. Its hard to justify a brig on a raid anymore. Our swashy brethren are feeling the pain also, with the lack of AOE fights this expansion. Its sad that a well played dirge will out dps a brig without a dirge. With brig dps and no hate transfer we always get the worst dps group to boot.

Its not just the spot on the parse that hurts. Its the fact that every class has mit debufs and there is a rune that debufs also. Dispatch is the ONLY reason we get a single raid slot and even that is watered down.

The last insult this exapansion is that I havent seen a single scout throwing item in the game. bye bye double throw as you have to put a new crit item in the ranged slot. Also the scout weapons are all over the map, no planning what so ever.

I gota say im not happy at all with the brig class. We need a boost in a bad way. Im guessing since rogues in general and brigs specifically are the least played, love isnt coming anytime soon.

The overall expansion itself is pretty good. I like the increased tuffness. The artwork is good. The PQs are kinda cool. But getting left behind has taken the fun out of it for me. With many classes 2x my dps and most classes above me its hard to take. We need to be about 80% of top dps and well above utility dps. We are no where close to that

Yeh I would agree with that Nazon. I share most of the universal complaints but the kicker is that they won't even acknowledge there is an issue with balance (not just Brigs) let alone fix it. Short sighted mechanics changes, crap itemization and encounters have left Brigands in the dust. To be, honest I have had enough, it aint going to be fixed you know?
