Everfrost crashed yet again this time on double xp night! [Archive]

Yet again Everfrost has crashed seriously this is getting old, and on double xp night?? We should get a free server split or whole account move not 5 chars with 1 day time frame. Or just fix it.

This is getting rediculous. My husband is sitting next to me playing Rift on perfectly stable servers. How the heck does an expansion manage to have a worse launch than a new game?

1} how many threads u gonna lock?2} please give us another day on the transfer tokens, i cant take this daily EF crash. already 2 days behind the griffon mount quest line now seeing as yall saw in your wisdom to make it a day timer. I expect to be flying about 3 weeks after launch

Please help Everfrost. This was ridiculous yesterday, but completely unacceptable at this point. Something needs to be done and done correctly this time. Then you really need to give the people on this server some compensation of some sort.

This is actually the second crash for me today. At least the first one was a quick log out log in. This second time is not. It is pretty bad when you hold your breath zoning or swapping characters for fear of a crash.

The forum moderators are mostly who we see talking, especially when it's about issues like this. Most of the times the red names run for the hills when problems arise it seems.

Yesterday we lost an instance cause it rolled us back and bugged. Tonight we were in another having figured the mob and almost had him down after a 20min fight. So since sometimes I can’t play until late because of RL (kids/cooking/cleaning/etc) you know that between server update stuff <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, Well back to the point. I have been missing more and more time but now because of down server at night. I understand that SoE would bring it up and keep it up if they could. No company excpecially a Greedy company would willingly get yelled at and push ppl to considering doing business somewhere else. I know that it’s being handled as best as possible but seriously can we get an Xp/AA/Tradeskill pot or something? I missed part of the 12 days of Velious because of kids and downtime. With a server merge and Expand one after another something was bound to happen. Pls give some kinda EF server bonus or something for downtime.

i aggree that everfrost should be compensated for this we should get another day of double xp for all the server crash all week long everyday for hours... it would only be fair since other servers have been running fine or give us all 100 percent xp potion 2 hours duration for each time this server been down since the launch after all we shouldnt be behind other players in other servers we should have a fair shot at being competetive with raid progresion worldwide etc...especially when other servers have been getting way more world discoveries from item then us because of this issue this is just getting old real quick i demand action from sony on this matter we paid for the expansion like every other customer so get it together and compensate us thanks.have a nice day

It was up for like a minute. It let me try to login only to kick me to character select twice.Plus one of my guildies is in. He says guild events has me at 294 AA, when I was last at 295.

My sub is due I think tomorrow or Monday. I cannot in good faith renew it until the game is stablized. I enjoy this game mostly for the diversity in things to do..crafting, questing, decorating. I know the support team for EQ2 works hard and puts up with a lot of tantrums..that isnt what this is.This is just one customer's voice saying that my wallet is no longer available to you until you improve your product and service.

what the heck on one account it shows as up but i get the can not find character , the other account it shows down ..how can we trust anything with this server anymore ... esp since the server status page is never right..SOE get some testers who know how to write a test plan and have them do black and white box testing.. and get them to do it from home where they have to internet in instead of intranet in.

My only problem with the downtime tomorrow is it yet again cuts into double exp time as that goes until 10 am PST and you are taking things down at 7 am PST.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The crash is being caused by a network problem that can't be repaired until we take the server down for maintenance. It happened last night and again today.Maintenance has been scheduled for tomorrow morning which should hopefully take care of the issue.

I know I do. Only reason I moved all my toons here to Everfrost is because I have a few old EQ guild members on this server. Only a couple but they are great people to have hung out with for 10 + years.

Really sorry guys, this could be an issue until the maintenance is performed. If we continue to have these problems tonight, we may look into pushing the maintenance up sooner.As I posted in Official Announcements, we will be extending the bonus XP until 3pm PST on Sunday.

I paid 80$ for the expansions, 30$ for this months subscription, and I have existing station cash... not to mention about 10 years of monthly fees and expansion upgrades between multiple accounts...I am not the only one who paid you, thousands of players on this server have.Fix the game, this is rediculous. I agree it must be hardware... All week character select hasn't been stable either which hopefully gives them some idea on what is going on. I'd take a full day down just to be assured when it was over server was 100% turn around from what it has been this past week... This week has seemed like an EQ 1 launch... In those days you waited a week to log in...

At this point Everfrost players really should recieve some form of compensation..and not just the same extended double xp day that both Unrest and Guk are getting since they haven't been through even a tenth of what Everfrost has. I rarely post here but [Removed for Content] people, at least offer to transfer complete guilds to another server or something, our server has been offline more than it's been online this week and enough is enough.

FYI, since this maintenance also affects Guk and Unrest, we need to give them a little heads up that the servers are coming down. This will extend the maintenance by about 30 minutes. ETA about 1.5 hours.

The only thing ridiculous is someone actually chastising another poster for being upset at this crap.

They keep putting bandaids on it, i swear they must be about out of Duct Tape and Bailing Wire at SOE its getting old, these people should be professionals who know their stuff.they have how many other servers that work fine but a problem on one i said it in a previous thread find the guy who's job it is take care of the everfrost server and slap him around the room with a large halibut.... or at least send him back to server school

I think the everfrost server should get at least 5k station cash.. enough for a Xfer token and something else too... or whatever they wish to have it for. Cause this is just rediculous it crashing everyday and multiple times a day sometimes too....

with servers going down like this, is there any doubt why people are leaving the game in droves? i almost didnt buy this expansion and wish i had not. so far it is quite unremarkable . that is when i can play it at all. dont get me started on the leaderboards. also the lack of shinies, no harvestables, the same rats bats etc with different names leaves me cold on this expak.

Since we (Blackburrow) were merged with Everfrost, the new server has been plagued with problems. We already missed one entire day of rewards from the first day of expansion when we were the only server down forever. Now we're down again on xp bonus day after they've already rolled it back once so that we had to redo everything for at least an hour or so and then it crashed again. There's quality workmanship. I think we deserve account credits for time the server was down and free transfers for all our toons to the server of our choosing since we were forced to merge to this malfunctioning server without a option to transfer off. I guarantee I will take the transfers and be really sorry to see some friends go, but it beats being frustrated by having a service be down that has already been paid for especially since it's obvious that the problems have been Everfrost specific as the TSR pointed out in his post the other day. I've been playing since the game began and can't tell Sony how really disappointing this is, especially during an expansion.

To beat it all i contacted a rep yesterday and they had the gull to tell me I do not deserve compensation due to the folly of SOE, hmmm.. wonder why I'm irate!!!!!!!!. I want a 10 level guild status boost item and ands exp pot as payment for this STUPID folley SOE made by pushing an expac that WAS NOT READY through, just so they could milk 1.5 mil off us!!!!!!!!!, its only fair since the server might as well been down for 4 days due to downtime BUGS ( SOE DENIES EXPAC FAULT). SOE Why should iu make sure and pack the vasoline on my toon when i log in because youyr bugs, This is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--SOE--1. First day of expansion wiped because this server was jacked up til the weeee hours of the morning (est)2. 2nd night--log in issues with characters mising at first. Laggy and buggy most of night but tolerable.3. 3rd night. 1 good crash---no real lag...server crashed just after midnight.4. 4th night --servers down when i tried to log in....90 minutes later i finally got in....server ok.5. Tonight.....servers down once again.This is only at night...i sure the days and early morning weren't perfect just based on the fact the evening hours have SUCKED!!I am not one to complain because I understand the inherent issues that come with expansions and gaming in general and in my opinion the DEVS work hard masking this a fun game to play however....THIS IS GETTING REDICULOUS!!!!!!I have been on several servers in my 6 years playing here and this is by far the worst one when it comes to lag, crashes while zoning, and general game play issues. I have been playing with a bug now for 2 years with no viable solution and that irritating enough....this last week is [Removed for Content] me off.I don't want to here excuses......just git er dun puleez!! Turn this from a crapastic server to one of the best.... And you really should do something for people on this server having to deal with these issues for a week straight now. You know there is a 2 level exp cap per turn in? The idea is to have them in inventory and complete them all a little at a time. Not sure how this affects AA exp, or if there is even a cap on that. I tried the trick on a level 1 and was greatly dissapointed.

I understand that problems happen and you all do your best to fix them. Thank you for that.What really brings me down is that I was available to play yesterday evening and tonight, and I was looking forward to really digging into the expansion. As with many of your customers, I have to balance work and familial responsibilities with my online gaming. I really won't be able to sit down an immerse myself into the expansion until next week at this point in time. In a nutshell, I've not only missed my window to play, but I'm also going ot miss out on the remediation for this in the form of the bonus xp.The best course of action would be a credit to the monthly fee we pay to you. If nothing else, it will show that SOE, as a company, takes customer service seriously and appreciates that we pay for the service you provide. Even a $5.00 credit towards next month's subscription would be a fine gesture of good faith and an acknowledgement that you kind of dropped the ball on the first weekend of a major release.However, I also realize that that mught be unfeasable since it deals with real money and the subscription model. Instead, you might do this: For the affected servers, you should provide one bonus XP weekend once the servers are found to be stable. In addition, a $10 infusion of Station cash for those with accounts on the affected servers could lessen the sting of the outages.Just an idea.

The server list is finally reflecting that fact that they are in process up updating all 3 servers now. Does this mean that we still have an hour to wait till they are back up?I do understand the woes that go along with the xpac and such. However this is rediculously excessive. I do agree that some sort of compensation is in order. I just am not sure what it should be.

At least when I looked. Not sure how long it was down prior to that.

While I think 5k station cash to be excessive, I do absolutely think that it is unacceptable that EF players have lost this much time playing just after an xpac release. We do deserve some form of compensation. A server-specific double XP day to make up for the one we missed, a small amount of SC, something... It is just hard to believe that a comapny with the resources that SOE has cant do better than this. Trion is looking more and more like the go-to company...
