So i wanted to start a New Topic to talk about the changes to us Troubs and what everyone in the troub class has seen and how you all are doing with the changes

So far I can tell you that Crit Chance is everything in the expan, I got to 220 last night after finishing TOFS so I have not had the chance to test the 220 against mobs, but even at 140 to 170 I was still killing just bout anything I went up against, solo wise ( like those Mammoths, for the Ry gor -- Othmir rescue)

I was able to disco some New raid gear, which so far isnt so bad, well as far as what we get,

No crit chance on armor

Great agil & stamina

Higher Mit

and the enhanced aria is already on the gear which meant I could swap some red adorns around from SF content

Which is now crap, all T3-4 sf gear we got is worthless, well to a point, but most the new legendary stuff outdoes the SF gear and that is SAD, but it works till we get new gear

More or less the general feel for my troub is "why haven't I betrayed to dirge yet?" (see below for the reason why)

TBH, even in superior gear with superior buffs, the dirge still outdoes the troub in everything that counts anymore: dps. The whole expansion screams dps from every corner and every manner possible, and that is something the troub just does not do as well. The fact that our buffs are so beyond outdated that the entire troub class can be summed up by a dozen abilities and even 1/3 to 1/2 of those are because of AA boosts and the 10% spell damage on aria from mythical/enervation is just down right pathetic. Whats even worse is theoretically Xelgad plays both bards. TBH, I honestly cannot believe that and plain refuse to believe it.

The only reason I still am a troub is because the squishies will sell themselves to have my buffs, so I trade troub buffs for taking them around as my personal pets for leveling alts.

Yes Crit Chance is king now.

Coming from a former Troubador, the Troubies need some love. I betrayed to Dirge for two reasons. 1. I've always been more melee oriented and the Dirge fit that better. 2. Solo'ing seemed to be such a pain as a Troubador.

I wish you guys luck in getting some much needed buffs from the Devs.

right now, us troubs are getting destroyed by dirges - cause the dirge mythical buff, has went completly unchecked.

a class that can max hit, and has 150 crit bonus and potency = nothing we can do to compete with it.right now, in HM gear, I am parsing 60k or so on average. our dirges with same gear, are doing over 110k for us currently on the exact same fight.

your welcome to just say I suck if it makes you feel better.... but no other scout has a buff that allows them to hit for max damage almost all the time.

our mythical buff only gives a small amount of crit.... comparitivly.

I'm pretty pleased overall with our class this expansion. I'm averaging 28-43k on our DoV raids, and only 1 of our dirges is beating me dps-wise. Our ability to ranged DPS has (finally) become what it always should have been, esp with high multiattack. We're not supposed to be melee-dependent, and now we can effectively DPS without having to be up the mobs #$%, since as we know this expansion AEs can annihilate you twice over.

Not denying there's still work to be done on the class, but we're definitely closer than we were a year ago.

Now, with a lot of upgraded gear, and 40 more AA, I am doing about xx + 5% more.

Even my templar got a big improvement in dps (going from like 50 to 150 )

I read your post Kun and agree, I hate to spec for Bladedance, the entire str line is useless and honstly if it wasnt for the fact hat I have this just for save ^^^ on my mages I wouldn't have it at all, however the days of 2 healers in each grp are over and we have to run it when times get tough from a HM named that wants to stand on top of the raid and aoe us, So if there were other options I would most certainly go that route myself.

What I did find interesting is that you used min aa in 2 , Turnstrike and Rhythm Blade, at max these guys hit for upwards of 20k, and have nice procs to go with them, i maxxed them out and use turnstrike almost all the time, more often than most other CA's since the golem and giants aes are freaking raw

But I supose it works for your play style and that is all that matters

as for VC/RO i will probably be getting rid of it all together very soon, I have tested it aginst tormax and all those nasties from halls and used a variety of different components to see if or what i can do different to make it hit like it did prior to the Nerf, that included the incinerate, pots etc...

What i found is this, we are multi attacking for upwards of 100k per hit, and we only record 1% of the damage, that is crap as far as I am concerned, so they add an aa to give us 2 extra seconds and make us ae avoided, big woopdy de do, it doesnt help, and doesn't come close to helping this lame aa

I went with a jcap self , shrill--(hit for 50k each time it was up), thunderous,( hit for 22k-32k) each time (all red ca's) in record now during this time i auto attacked 4 times, did upwards of 500k damage just in autos

now the kicker, I went both directions on this, first I did this with cadence, then deadly dance

result Cadence - 264k vc

Deadly 160k vc

now prior to nerf 750k to 1.5mil

but I guess we were getting too powerful so other mages or scouts b*tched and we got screwed, not like we were not screwed already, I mean if you look at half of the craptastic spells we have that are prehistoric outdated and antiquated you would agree that we have been duped once again.

Sony does need to take the heads out of each others @@@ and fix the balance here, our myth buff, versus a dirge I mean come on its like here troub take this razor blade to that gun fight and kill the bad guy, we say umm were going to die, they say improvise....so that is what we have to do improvise

So improvise I have done, now it isn't easy but now im more the casters best friend than anything and honestly I dont mind it, just hang back shoot arrows, cast what spells I can and keep my grp on the top of the parse. So now I run Deadly Dance for raids, and COD for solo, im anywhere from 35k dps to 65k and my mages are well 100 to 220k so its working. We blow chit up

But I will tell you this I dont like the changes and I am appalled that we now more than ever have to look at reuse speed for our spells more than our double attacks, heck just take the combat arts away give us more spells and we can be mages in chain.

Sorry for ranting but it gets old to see update notes where there enhancing items that we as scouts want but in the same breathe are disgusted by since realistically its not benefiting the grp setups in raids only the individuality of each player.
