Hi,

I have searched and searched for an answer to this. I use Launchpad 3 to access EQII and every time I log in, I have no characters. See screenshot...

When I click on "Play" it takes me directly to the character select screen and then I have to continue from there. How do I get my characters to show up in the Launchpad so I can select one from there?

http://img220.imageshack.us/i/47362585.gif/

I'm having the exact same issue. It's ridiculously annoying and I want to be able to use the old game launcher. When I try the old one, it comes up to the "Accept/Decline" screen and when I hit accept the screen just dissappears. Any suggestions?!

Try this...

Go to the directy where you have EQ2 installed. Mine is C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II

Next, locate a file named {your Station logon name}_characters.ini and delete it. This forces the server to re-download your character list.

So, for instance, when you log in to game, if your login name is "Bob12345", the file will be Bob12345_characters.ini

I was talking to TSR-JoshuaM he said quote, Delete your logincache, logincache-us and that jester0770_characters.ini file., I did that and it didn't change a thing. So i have been stuck logging into character select everytime since xpac. I haven't found anything about how to fix it other than what I was already told and tried.

--edit-- should state when I did the deleting I had no logincache...just the other 2

Thanks for the reply Seidhkona!

I ran a full scan, cleared the cache, logged out, deleted the file and then opened the Launchpad and logged in. Not only do my characters not show (as shown in the screenshot), the file was not re-created.

Any more suggestions?

Did everything Jester suggested with the same results except this time it re-created the "username_characters.ini" file and the login cache. Still no characters available on the Launchpad.

I am experiencing the exact same issues and have tried the exact same fixes to no avail. I have a service ticket in and was trying to get some help, but now the in-game support is not working. I can't access my question to read what the support staff updated nor can I update my question. My reference # is 10222-003337 if anyone reading this board can actually help me get back into the game.

I'm on Everfrost and have looked at the Everfrost "character missing" threads and tried all suggested solutions. Has anyone resolved this? If so, please post the solution that worked for you.

Add me to the list as well. I used to use the station launcher and switched to LP3. Ever since installing LP3 I cannot see my characters in it. Deleting my chache, loginchache-us and [username]_characters.ini did not solve the problem (they are all recreated but the "My Characters" box in LP3 stays empty).

As far as I can see it, are the above mentioned files not relevant for the contents of the "My Characters" box (I ran filemon while I ran LP3 and it never accessed any of them). All my characters are on Oasis.

Is there anyone having missing characters issues still from these previous posts?

I can access all my characters, but have to click play and choose at the character select. Doesn't give me a list to choose who to log into before i click play. I always liked to just start right at what ever toon i wanted to play, not goto character select to choose who i wanna play/

The characters are not missing (when in game), they simply do not show up in the "My Characters" window of Launchpad 3. After clicking "Play" I see all characters (aka in game). So same issue as with Jester.

Characters are available in-game, but not in Launchpad.

Why not just go directly to the character select in-game instead of using the Launchpad?
