Before Velious hit I created a Mystic and started working diligently to max my AA. At level 16 I have 61 AA and felt pretty potent. Basically I was solo questing and was very happy with my progression. I felt tough as nails taking on whatever mob the given quest called to kill. Then Velious hit and the first blue down arrow mob I took on almost killed me. Can anyone explain what changes were made in Velious that would effect Mystic survivability? My gear/AA/skills/spells are exactly the same and yet now I'm a total wimp.

I have a 48 Melee Mystic with 73 AA's. I've not noticed getting wimpier at all. I have noticed my pet is a bit more robust. I'm not sure why you would see such a difference.

Very odd.

The only thing I noted was the disappointing lack of crit chance on velious quested gear (my main is a 90 melee mystic).

I haven't noticed any difference in ability for my low level mystic alt's survivability either.

Could be the gear you are wearing was hit particularly hard by the stat changes?

Not a big proplem on healers. You just have to adapt a bit.

I took my 88 Mystic to Velious and haven't encountered the problems you mention with surviveability at all. That having been said, DPS is a crime. I mean I want to play a healer, not a dps class when on my Mystic, but taking 2-3 minutes (literally, think about that... 2-3 min for every single mob for every single quest... ugh) to finish one lousy solo mob is more than a little ridiculous.

Is this a common problem for other Mystics out there or am I just doing soemthing wrong here? I have all Expert or Master spells and am using the quested Legendary armor from the first series of Velious quests at this point, so pretty sure it's not just stat changes.

Please do not whine, go play a Templar. You think it takes a mystic time to kill a solo mob, times it by 2 for a Templar.

lower levels are hit harder then higher ones. All armour lost the +heal and +power and is only based on STA for health and your class primary stat for power

also lots of looted armour isn't adapted so still has some useless stats on it for your class. so check your armour it maybe wise to change some

Takes my warden about 30 seconds to kill one mob, 250 AAs no raid gear at all. My level 39 mystic is not discernably different in any way other than amount of HP/power, soloing is still as easy as ever.
