hair color changing drastically with changes in environment

<p>OK, I've gotten used to my red-heads looking more orange in vertain lights, but my blond high elf has always looked blonde. SInce yesterday, she gors from black hair to blond depending on distance away I may be from her (mouse wheel scroll) or just spinning in place. Me no likie, what setting can I change to keep it blonde?</p><p><img src="http://www.jklm.net/atn/hair.jpg" /></p>

<p>It's related to the change to water (and mirrors).</p><p>I was noticing last night one of my characters was going from blond to redhead anytime he got near water or a mirror, and then back as soon as it left my view.</p>

<p>Yeah, something they've done recently with reflections has made a lot of things very wonky.</p><p>For example, in first person standing near a mirror my character (on the mana spirit horse) suddenly I'll be inside my character rather than seeing it in the reflection. It was pretty messed up in the end of Beta too, with water having technicolor orbs floating in it rather than a reflection. They should have rolled it back entirely and pushed the stuff to test for the next GU, really.</p>

<p>its not only hair, but its some other textures as well (i noticed it with certain armours). it definetly happens in shader 1.0, not sure about 3.0. i hope it gets fixed soon because its extremely annoying.</p>

<p>I had that happening last night but I was so tired I thought it was just me.</p><p>Had a red-head going from her normal carrot top shade to a flat dark brown. Had a bright golden blonde getting dark brown/black streaks in her hair. </p><p>As much as I hate having appearance bugs, I'm glad it wasn't just me losing it.</p>

<p>Yes, I'm also glad it's not just me. My poor little Fae keeps going from her nice light blue (nearly white) hair, to a really dark blue black whenever she's indoors or in water. I do not like. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> If I'd wanted dark blue-black hair I would have chosen it at character creation.</p>

<p>Under advanced options -> water is a checkmark spot for water reflections...mine was off. Turning it on instantly resolved my hair issues...apparently it affects more then just water reflections. (Thanks to eq2wire/feldon's website for the tip!)</p>
