View Full Version : I think the Norrathian Cartographers are onto something here.

Ever since the modern map system was put into the game, comparisons between new and old have always been made and noticed. More recently, it's been noticed that for the sake of containing everything contained in the map window, that the islands are being drawn closer to each other.

....But what if the cartographers out there aren't just drawing the islands closer for the sake of containing it all in one small square area on the screen? What if they know something we dont?

Here's a map of Norrath as of the discovery of Velious, as well as a close up in the center. Notice how close Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest are?

That's practically a walking distance at this point. Don't you see? Those cartographers have noticed that the lands are actually forming back together, but the Far Seas Trading Company doesn't want us to catch on!

/crackpottheory

I like how you think, sir!

Those Far Seas jokers. They're always up to something.

Always... up... to something.

They must be the same ones that took Faydwer and rearranged it between EQ1 and EoF!

*tinfoilhat*

I like that idea.

Of course it also means Freeport is only a year or two away from a massive invation by the Ring of Scale.

Ok, fine then. Freeport gets invaded by the newly undead Ring of Scale. C'mon, this stuff practically writes itself

That's the one thing that bugged me about the Ring of Scale in this game. The lore never really gave us any incentive to actually kill them, and yet we do anyway. Killing Trakanon for the Fate of Norrath questline makes sense, since he's keeping secrets from us, but why drag the rest of them into it?

That's what was referred to in EQlive as the Ocean of Tears. The Sisterhood of Erollisi lives on the largest island called Tearfall. I hope we can visit there someday.

So let me get this straight. Gninja's face is actually the surface of Luclin, and if the Dwarves are hurling something at it, then that must mean that they built a gigantic catapult that launched a part of the Butcherblock Mountains to destroy the moon! That's gotta be it, it makes perfect sense!

or maybe the dwarves threw a ninja gnome to luclin and caused the shattering!?

Gninja's face is a symbol for Durienal and this foreshadows the upcomming feud between the Underfoot and Etheneer where as 100th level adventurers you get to visit Etheneer and are assaulted by every mob you've ever killed just before you can claim ultimate power.

Thus the prophacy is avoided and Norrath survives YOU to continue onward.
