Went through forgotten pools tonight, Lord Djo was not spawned after we killed Gerg Taea and rode the griffon.

Different issue, we were able to spawn and kill him, but never got the achievement for it. Made it back with plenty of time to spare and clicked the tree when he got near.

Did you complete the event with him as a pet? I will check into some possible reasons why he might not be spawning.

He had to be permakilled till an exploit could be fixed. It should be included with the next Hotfix.

Completing Forgotten Pools quests will unlock The Ascent. Completing the quests in the Ascent will Unlock the Fortress Spire.

so basically we cant do any of them instances because this was not tested enough to prevent this kind of thing?.... you guys break the servers, you break the zones, and quest .... just go ahead and take a magnet to what ever is holding the game info and say "oh we lost things, we will not waste your time anymore by not fixing it".... this kind of things is getting really sad and frustrating. happened with merge, now release of xpac, almost every update makes things worse then they already were

Before we ever got an opportunity to run it, I know this because hardcore as we were we sat around in vent talking amongst ourselves on and off checking back dilligently until the servers were finally brought up ~12 hours after the were for the rest of the world. But when they got up that was the first place I took my guild after getting them up to the quest area to start flying mount line. We run the zone up to that point and can not progress, we go back through looking all over to see if something had been added and missed. No information about it still in the MOTD as I logged in to check. I fail to see why you can not display a warning that the zone was broken to prevent completion when zoning in. Heck, just lock it to begin with no point in running the [Removed for Content] thing when you can't complete it anyway.

It is also obvious that the input about the zone being very difficult to trigger getting into went agnored as well because you still have to go up and down and left and right on the ladder to get it to zone in anyway.

I must say that after looking forward to this expansion for 3 months+ now so far I have been nothing but utterly disgusted by how it was rolled out (people that were not a victim of the Everfrost server wouldn't know). I've played EQ2 since 2005 with a break or two and I enjoy it I am just getting pretty ticked off and frustrated that it seems like the fine print in the EULA that essentially says "SOE has no responsibility to keep the game up if we screw it up for you then too bad" seems to be implicitly applied to places where they do not desire to make any kind of official response.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER FOR YOU GUYS TO BE PUTTING US INTO ZONES THAT YOU KNOW FULL WELL WHEN WE GO INTO THEM WE CAN NOT COMPLETE THEM.

Yes Nosa that is correct I wasted 2 times trying to run this with you guys looking like a total jackwagon when there was nothing I could have done.

He is not that hard to kill, all you have to do is pay attention to what happens. If you do not pay attention to the rain drops then things can get pretty ugly, pretty quickly...

In order to fix the issue with the zone we would have to patch as well so we got it pushed up to the absolute soonest hotfix we could so that it was fixed and available once again. I am sorry it put you in a tough situation and added to frustration but it was the only option we had at the time. In the future we will defiantely try to get these things added to the MOTD for you guys.

Again my apologies!

Thanks for the response Gninja, it still doesn't make sense that a mob can be yanked from a zone at any point in time but a message that is displayed or for that matter constantly broadcasts to that zone every 5 minutes or something couldn't be done w/o a patch. The zone in thing makes more sense to require a patch.

I can only hope that this actually gets added to the to-do list immediately after removal of a key mob such as this, not only in the MOTD but at least 3 broadcasts to all servers as well. I know there are thousands of droolers that will ask the very same question in the public channels the minute they login in when it is answered in the MOTD, those of us that play the game seriously and do not want it dumbed down any further so that the lowest common denominator WOW player can 'get it' do as well.

I see by the patch notes now that it is fixed so hopefully tonight assuming no server failures we can get 6 groups through these 3 zones.

Again thanks for the response and I am hoping that the Witchdoctor is not going to turn into a wipe fest...

There's both the welcome window and the MOTD... both of those could be used to inform folks about zones that aren't working properly.

It happens some times with the motd, but it's too inconsistent -- lots of folks just ignore the motd. I'd love to see it used more consistently for issues like that rather than just advertising (there's already SC advertising and a community message space in the welcome window).
