i claimed the frozen egg from the collector's edition that is supposed to give you a gryphon. i exmined it and got a lvl 1 quest which first sent me to thundermist village, then sent me to a goat guy village in the expansion. the goat guy expert there tells me i have to assist other goat guys to prove that i can care for a gryphon, but none of them offer me any quests. the character i want the gryphon for is level 54. i'm assuming i will not be able to complete this quest utnil she is lvl 90. is that correct?

I think the pre-requisite for flight is 86, but it might be 90. You might be able to complete the questline, but you wouldn't be able to fly.

I'd suggest checking if you can get inside the cave in the goahmari village. There's an npc inside that gives some of the adventure flight questline and they involve proving your ability to take care of a griffon. In order to enter the cave, though, you have to complete some quests that might require 86+.

i'm really disapponted. i had it in my head that my little 54 guardian girly would be roaming around on a griffon by the end of the night. it'll probably be a year before i get her capped. oh well i guess. i still have the everfrost summer home to enjoy .

I've done the quests for the guy in the cave, and have hatched the egg. I proved myself to HIM that I can take care of a birdy, and I started training my baby bird (from the quests). The guy for teh CE mount still says I need to prove myself, but the quests I can find for those guys seem to point me to helping OTHER races. And, before you ask, I'm lvl 90. I'm wondering if I simply have to wait until I get the five days of meaningless quests for the QUESTED mount finished before I can get the one for the REWARD. If so, that's fine. But more information on what I'm SUPPOSED to do instead of a vague "prove you are a good handler by helping unnamed NPCs do something we aren't gonna tell ya" would be nice.

Oh well, I guess I'll find out, won't I?

you need to FINNISH all FIVE days of the quests that the baby griffawn gives you. by finnishing the questline, you prove you are ready to keep and adult one. if you havent figured out how to get the quest, once you get your new baby, talk to her. she will give you one quest per day. and on the 5th day, you can fly once you complete the questline. then you get to choose between 1 of 3 of the quested griffawns. you cannot use the CE griffawn until you finnish this quest.

you must be lvl 90 to fly. as well for the CRAFTERS griffawns, you need to be crafter lvl 90. adventure lvl does not matter for the crafters one. i am assuming, once you gain the crafting one, you should be able to use the CE one as well at your lower adventure lvl if you have a capped crafter.

though no one will really know until saturday at the earliest if i have my time right. hope this helps!

oh...wanted to add. to start the griffawn questline, to get into the cave, you must speak to Billie first. Do his quests, then, speak to the goatman by the cave to do his few quests. once done with his, you may enter the cave, to speak to the goatman all the way inside, to begin the final goatman part of the questline. once done with him, is when you begin the 5 days with your new baby. it doesnt take too long, really.

Might not have come across that way, but then again, I'm tired.

you must be lvl 90 to fly. as well for the CRAFTERS griffawns, you need to be crafter lvl 90. adventure lvl does not matter for the crafters one. i am assuming, once you gain the crafting one, you should be able to use the CE one as well at your lower adventure lvl if you have a capped crafter.

though no one will really know until saturday at the earliest if i have my time right. hope this helps! Well, since it's an 18 hour lockout, that sounds about right. I was going to argue the timing with you, but a quick mental calulation makes me have to agree with ya.

oh...wanted to add. to start the griffawn questline, to get into the cave, you must speak to Billie first. I thought I would add that all the questline for the mount IS soloable, but doing it in a group makes it much faster for all involved. (I ran through it with two different guildie groups today, and it was MUCH faster and easier than when I ran through it - solo - during beta. And I think that's why they asked me to show them....since I knew where to go for all of it ) Uh, that's all I wanted to add.
