Fatal Error

<p>I patched and was in game i am recieving an error i dont quite understand.</p><p>EverQuest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown</p><p><verify> E:liveeq2frameworkscenegraphsrcVeAppearance.cpp (5265)</p><p>ERROR- Appearance Cache invalid</p><p>00a28b94 5c657669</p><p>here is the problem i am having i never have had nor do i have an E:live directory of any kind. This makes me wonder if that isnt referring to a server side directory</p>

<p>Give this a shot.</p><p>You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.iniTo do this, please follow these directions:1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the default directory in (for Windows XP): C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II (for Windows Vista/7): C:Program DataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II2. Click on MY COMPUTER and then proceed into local disk C:3. Navigate your way to the default directory, or your chosen installation directory.4. Next look for any files explained above and delete them. 5. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.</p>

<p>TSR-JoshuaM</p><p>Followed instructions above error is stil identical </p><p>Error happens during transition from initial loading cutscene to character select window.</p><p>i updated eq2maps today so im widing my ui folder just in case to see if something happened there</p>

<p>clearing the ui and repatching didnt help either</p>

<p>What are you using to access the game?  Station Launcher?  EQ2 LaunchPad?  Or are you running the exe directly?</p>

<p>for some reason after i deleted the cache folder and doing a complete file scan twice i still had no cache folder</p><p>i have an old test server directory im gonna try copying that over and repatching -</p><p>nm didn't work</p>

<p>i ran the game without using the launchpad's tried eq2 launch and station launcher. seem just running everquest2.exe works just fine though i made it to character select but still cannot use eq2.exe</p>

<p>using everquest2.exe is intermittent at best one time it work another time it doesnt but atleast i can get into the game this way </p>
