DoV....download cancelled

<p>Hi, I run 3 computers with EQ2 and EQ2X.  All XP, so suggesting "run as administrator" does not assist me.</p><p>On all three, the DoV download cancels when it gets to the file commonlands.vpk.delta....</p><p>The firewall is not the issue.  I have disabled and it still happens.</p><p>The config is not the issue.  I have run config and deselected all then rebooted.</p><p>I also removed the "read only" tick from the general properties of the station folder, as has been recommended on forums previously.</p><p>It is too much of a coincidence that 3 computers all have the download cancelled at commonlands.vpk.delta....  They run up to this point, then cancel.</p><p>The internet connection is stable, indeed, I have access right now as the downloads cancel yet again.</p><p>What gives?</p>

<p>My guess would be DoV isn't available for a few hours yet. They indicated it would likely be available around 9AM PST.</p>

<p>k thank you.  I was hoping the update could be downloaded at the start of the downtime, rather than the end. </p>

<p>What I read on other forums is that us Europeans got shafted again. It should be available from US servers to patch and not European servers.</p><p>Now its happily downloading commonlands + more.</p><p>So switch patcher locale to English (US) and patch... then return it to English (EU) and wait for servers to come back up.</p><p>Gotta love SOE when they give the US everything first... even server/world firsts due to lack on understanding how to  work in an international environment. Wonder what Sony Japan would say about this ... as this isn't the first time this has happened.</p>

<p>Had the very same problem as you all.  I went and did the US downlaod went into char select screen then quit the game.  I then launched the game again, this time choosing the UK version and I am now at my Char select screen for Splitpaw with all my toons showing.</p><p>Eshaac (Ostaba; Rune Blade; Splitpaw)</p>

<p>I remain to be convinced.  I have two folders - one for US server where I used to play and one for Splitpaw where my high level chars are.  I can update the US version but surely when I change to the update to the version in the UK folder it will be a different download?</p>

<p>Download complete of the "english (US)" version ... then closed the launcher and changed to "german" and started again ...</p><p>And I had the same problem ... download cancelled with the "commonland.vpk_delta..." and no chance to restart the download.</p><p>Devs pls fix this matter ... we want to play the new add-on also!!! </p>

I have all in same folder other than what normally would go in diff folder.  Download was so minimal it was done in less than a minute.  As I said, I'm looking right at my toons on splitpaw waiting for the server to be turned online...</p><p>Eshaac</p>

<p>Dont use station launcher</p><p>use the EQ2 exe in you install folder use old EQ2 launcher selcect us servers at top right pull down menu log in patch</p><p>close restart in same way chose your UE server from pull down menu log in scan go to CS</p>

<p>What os this launcher 3 i keep reading about?</p><p>Becuase honestly if i am forced to use the woeful streaming client then thats it thats the gae breaker for me not idle threat,not me throwing my toys out just a calm statement of fact that that POS is terrible to use and i'd sooner call it quits.</p><p>So if anyone has a linky to the mythical launcher 3 i'd be a happy bunny.</p>

download from US server completed ok - swapped back to EU, got play and went to char-select (server locked) waiting for server to come online

<p>I have been on a US server from about Tuesday 3:15PM CST until 1:10 am Wednesday. I had no problem with The Bazaar. Afterwards, when I tried to log in to Splitpaw to claim the Othmir illusions for my grandkids I was unable to download anything and the Play button is greyed out. I do not and never have had seperate installations for the EU and the US.</p><p>What is happening and will I be able to claim the illusions before the 24 hour clock runs out?</p><p>Edit: Full file scan and even rebooting did not help. I cannot log into Splitpaw because I do not get the Play button!</p>
