<p>I am currently working and living in South Korea.</p><p>Buddy of mine on the base invited me to play this game with him. He lives and plays on the base, I live off-base.</p><p>The login works fine for him but not for me.</p><p>My theory, unless anyone wants to correct me, is that U.S. bases over-seas automatically assign U.S. IP addresses since they tunnel back to the U.S. </p><p>Meanwhile, I live off base with a South Korean IP address separate from the tunneling.</p><p>Is it possible for me to connect to the login server so I can play? Would I have to subscribe to a tunneling service to do so?</p><p>Whats the dilly yo? Thanks in advance. I look forward to playing.</p>

<p>all eq2 and eq2x servers are now down for "a brief update" of 6 hours to release the DoV expac among other things. You should be able to get back in roughly in a short 5 hours 45 minutes</p>

<p>All servers are down for the new expansion at this moment, so it makes sense if you can't log in right now.</p><p>If you were unable to log in a couple hours ago or after the update is done in hopefully 6 hours, then perhaps try using a US based proxy or have your friend set up a vpn and connect via that. I know many people that play on my server that are not US based and have no problem. It's possible it's a south korea ISP restriction or something like that. Location shouldn't matter as far as I know.</p>

<p>Yeah. Actually, I tried logging on around this same time yesterday and the day before that.</p><p>My buddy and I were skyping and he verified, last night at least, that he was able to contact the login server and login tothe game while I kept getting the same message. </p><p>Thanks for the advice on the VPN. I could always try that.  </p><p>But I'm open to more permanent solutions also. Anyone got anymore ideas by chance? Can anyone comment on whether or not this is some kind of a known issue with the login servers?</p>
