Expansion download

<p>I remember last year, for a while before expansion, new content downloaded with the patches. They said it was to cut down on the wait on expansion day. Have they been doing that this year? I haven't noticed anything like that happening.</p>

<p>I switched to US version after it kept stopping on the EU one, seeing there will be NO patch differances on the servers when they come up, no it will not affect you, I switch between EU and US versions all the time as I have toons on US servers too, so long as you remember to switch back to EU all will be normal when you login</p><p>Edit: Which means it's downloadable now</p>

The patch is available for download right now.</p>

<p>Well, last year the download was not activated on EU servers and those with both UK and US installed were downloading back to pre-expansion stage when trying to patch UK. I sure hope it'll WORK this year and we will not get a 6h delay or so.</p>

<p>LOL as I said on another thread, I dont know what I didnt have or what I dont have set right, but I was playing last night and when I started the patcher this AM was about a 7.5 gig dl.. and it's DL'ing stuff as my taskmanager shows constant download of about 15 meg.. over 1/2 done now.</p>

If you put US server online hours before EU one the World Firsts are meaningless and US biased.</p><p>To want everything for US first is selflish in the extreme.</p>

<p>Actually, although I support the thought that everyone should be able to log in and play at the same time, I'd like to point out that for us USA residents this update is happening while most of us are away at work or school.  I'm just lucky enough to have the day off or else it'd be (like my poor husband) at least another 4-5 hours after the servers went live before I got home and was able to start patching. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>Does this download happen automagically if you've pre-paid and you are logged into Station Launcher?</p><p>I know the purchase went through as I got an email a few hours ago acknowledging my purchase of two collector's editions.  However, I didn't notice any update happening.  I thought maybe I needed to log out and log back in again, so I did that and got a teensy little blip of an update that happened so fast I didn't even notice how large it was.  Could that have been the entire expansion pack?  At the character select screen, the info in the upper left corner says Feb 18, not Feb 22.</p><p>Edited to say:  Oh, I see in post above mine mention of a keycode.  Where is this keycode?</p>

<p>The pach download seems to breaked into multiple smaller parts for me, finish downloading and when i relaunched launcher, it downloaded some 139mb again.</p>

<p>Just started up patched for me and BF. On both it kept cancelling the download part way through. Told it to start again and it cancelled again...</p><p>In England here.</p>

<p>it seems to have alredy patched/updated things for me. in my pak files, i have the xp07 files as well as some other new ones and many many updated ones today. total size is a smidge over 3.5 gigs(3.57gig exactly). NOT including the new stuffs in the musics foler. and the exe already been updated as well.</p>
