Everfrost and Oasis both have problems too.

logged into everfrost - but barely, and nothing worked - no chat channels and major lag.

oasis is just down, cant log in at all.

Crushbone : High

One Other Server: Medium

EVERYTHING ELSE: light

basically they merged us and now we have too many people playing and can't login because server can't handle it. Nice going there SOE

I truly hope it is not due to load on servers...

For those of us that were already online grouping/grinding/tradeskilling, being kicked out even if not zoning is a bit much. I could understand if load was high and loaded that anyone trying to log in was not able to get on, but those already on and getting booted to character select... well let's hope it's more than load issues.

Not everyone got booted. Half my group is still in game wondering where I went. No mention of lag, just saw my two toons, and another person go ld.

So it's not due to server population.

Same problem here. Is there a page where we can get a clue why we have problems or downtime? Most other games have it. I know about the server status-page, but the info there is pretty much worthless.

Oasis same way - server lag is horrible, people cannot log in, getting booted to char select time after time, etc etc.

If it is this bad now, wait til expansion day

CB now has 25% more 'population' than the next highest non-pvp servers, so I think it's fair to say there's a population aspect to it, even if it's not hte only problem. Pretty crappy service to paying subscribers.

Something is awry.

Crushbone bloke here. Can't even get in. Using the EQII launched it stalls on the "updating" going nowhere. I can get to char' select on the ghastly station launcher, but char' select is as far as goes.

Seems an odd time of the day for this kinda thing.

Yeah something is going wrong for sure. I got bumped from Oasis as well and can't get past character select while my buddy has been logging in and out frequently and getting in fine. He even logged completely out and back in and got in fine. Tired of this SOE crap. But I've learned long ago that they just flat out don't care. There will be a fake apology and no compensation... ya know, the usual. Gotta love it.

At the very least, double xp weekend should be extended a day to deal with people getting screwed all day. That probably won't happen either. Oh well, it's fun to rant so whatever. LoL.

I remember a post a little while ago where Rothgar mentioned that several servers in a group share the same cluster of databases. Perhaps there is some issue (maybe introduced during the last merge or maybe just coincidence) that is doing this.

Still sad to see once again that nobody seems to be "watching the farm" in this game when it comes to server outages.

If all of them had CB's population then population being a point could be an issue. But again, not when 4 or 5 other servers have the same problem right, or had if the issue is over now.

I was duoing with someone, we will killing time until a couple other friends finished a raid and then group with them. She went LD, and without saying exactly where she lives, she lives in the United States and isn't near the Canadian border.

I'm having the same problem. Whenever I try /camp <character name> I get kicked to the character select screen, with half my characters not showing, and when I select one I get the message "Unable to find ..." I then have to shut it all down and reboot the game. I tried the work-around posted earlier (deleting <accountname>_characters.ini file). It worked for one or two relogs then went back to kicking me out of the game.

Sure if it was a CB problem only or a problem only with high population servers then it might be a likely explanation but it isn't.

If the issue is on all servers then population doesn't have to play a factor in it.

It could be one of the support systems like lets say the chat server.

The chat functionality is accross all servers. This is why you can talk across not only all servers but even from one game to another. IE I can talk to someone on Planetside or SWG from EQ2

If there is an issue with chat then it is not likely that the population on CB is the issue. The chat server serviced all those accounts before the merger. There are still the same number of accounts after the merger. Thus population of CB would not be the issue.

If you want to complain about the CB population then go start your own thread about how you don't like other people on your server.
