Ive been in the last few bet's and typically some one walks me thru the process. But, this time i dont have access to those savy folks at this time. I think i remember the large portion of files being "paks" folders. but when i looked for the paks folders in my beta folder this time I didnt see them. Is this becuase I was using the launcher for beta and typically dont use the launcher for live?

What files and folders can I copy over to my live folder to decrease download times?

Unfortunately I do not have that information at the moment. I'll see if I can get some information from our QA regarding this.

Due to not using the streaming client, I am not able to verify, but I have heard several people mention that files downloaded by the streaming client are not compatible with the traditional patcher. This may explain why your paks folder on the BETA installation has no new files?I checked the "paks" folder in my beta install directory, and there is almost 30 files that begin with "exp07_", such as "exp07_rgn_great_divide.vpk". Try searching your computer for files with similar names. If you can find them, it may be worth trying to copy them into the paks folder of your live install. If not, you may simply have to let the download roll when DoV goes live.Good luck.

Sadly, anyone that used the new beta client exclusively won't have access to the exp07* files to copy over. Those are embedded within the silly assetcache files instead. Just one of the reasons why some of us avoid the streaming client like the plague
